Not perhaps the live album that most Budgie fans wanted, but a welcome release all the same. It is very odd to hear a guitarist other than Bourge or Thomas tackle the famous riffs --- but this guy does so with enthusiam. The heavier material is tackled well (the new guitarist adds some modern touches which freshen things up) but the quieter passages suffer badly. The Napoleon Bonapart intro in particular is ham-fisted-- which is tantamount to Budgie-heresy! Overall, not an essential purchase but by Budgie's own high standards certainly not a duff album either... Footnote 2004: Budgie-philes probably won't shed too many tears that the band now have a different guitarist, who by all accounts, is top notch. Go see 'em live!

Music : Rewind [CD 1]
If you have not heard the single Rewind before, this is worth a buy i guess. Its such a beautiful, reflective track, which makes you sit back and put your life into prospective!

What makes this single amazing is the live version of Maybe Tomorrow, solo Fender and Kelly Jones' killer voice, in the same fashion as Maybe Tomorrow was performed at Live8. I actually like the original version of Maybe Tomorrow, in my view its in the top 5 phonics tracks (probably; Dakota, Maybe Tomorrow, Just Lookin, Superman and Rewind), but i do prefer this version alot more; very Rolling Stones and sounding like a rock band should!

...and that's no small feat. I listen to hundreds of albums every year from a variety of styles and eras.
I first heard Bwyd Time on tape at 14, in an incense-filled bedroom, slumped in a wicker chair, captivated by what I was hearing. Since then I've listened to this album probably nigh on 1000 times and it still holds up.
The seemingly throwaway opening track, 47 seconds of keyboard backings and screechy mock-soul vocals is in fact a sorbet, clearing the pallet of whatever you may have been listening to before and calling you to the table in preparation for something wonderful. It's not by chance that the bi-lingual title translates as Food Time. This album is a meal, which both satisfies and has you craving more of the same.

The inventivity of the band comes through with Mario Caldato's
productions. Also nice to see them pushing out of their
signature sound. Bunf shines as a singer as well.

I recieved my copy of Bonnie Tyler's "Heart Strings" CD today and what an album it is. 13 wonderful tracks by the wonderful welsh woman, all performed with the voice they deverse. This disc is living proof that Bonnie is by far the best female rock singer ever to be discovered.
Please buy this album if your a fan, it really is a treat to listen to and an album that hasen't been out of my CD player for the past few hours, i'm currently listening to it now and LOVE IT. "Heart Strings" really is a masterpiece of fantastic covers, bravo Bonnie!!!
