And it doesn't - look at the artist names. Great tunes, mixed well. It's a worthy follow-up in the 'X%' Nu Energy series. I hope we hear more from Mark Ashley. And the price is just silly.

This is a live recording of the increasingly popular Nu Energy Collective Live show, which has recently been taking the underground rave scene by storm. If you're not familiar with their style of music, its basically (very) hard trance. Note that when I say hard I mean in terms of speed (its got the most rapid tempo of any cd I've ever listened to), not in terms of being extremely deep and dark. In fact, the tunes are relatively uplifting and euphoric, just a lot quicker than conventional trance. The tracks by K Complex in particularly are outstanding, and I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for anything he produces in the future. Further to Daniel Mains slightly uneducated review, it's not hixxy on the mic in power and the glory, it's marley. this isnt as good as its predecessor in my opinion as the tracks seem to lack the creativity and diversity of bonkers 13. Still an ok listen though.

I'm going to focus on the Dougal Disk here, as it's this that I purchased the cd for. Well it's been a few years since Bonkers 13 was released, and I still find that the Dougal CD is the best hardcore CD I've heard to this day. The Brisk and Kevin Energy CDs on Hardcore Heaven 1 (the one with cartoon artwork of a wierd helmet) are on par in my opinion. The CD really gets you in a euphoric state of mind, a hardcore paradise if you will. The aptly named "Heaven on Earth" is my favourite track on a mix that builds up beautifully. I think the tune selection is great, they all have mad, clean sounding euphoric riffs, along with some screeching synths in "Xtreme" and "Get Hype." I'm really a fan of hardcore from mid to late 90's so when a mate suggested buying this cd i was a bit dubious - my narrow-minded opinion was that nearly all post-millenium stuff was all trancey, not as happy and didnt make u smile when u heard it. However the CD arrived today and i'm most definately impressed! Sy's mix is great from beginning to end especcially tracks like Really Love You, Badboy Beats and Let It Go. After listening to this first installment, i was already persuaded! THEN....I stuck on CD 2 - Brisk's Mix which was amazing, euphoric, magical and EVERY track definately made me smile!! One of my fave hardcore tracks of all time is the original Here I Am and when i saw that there was a remix of it i was definately expecting ... Read More:
