As I opened the case of this incredible value-for-money compilation, I was not sure what to expect. Having seen the likes of Goldie and Aphrodite, two of my favourite DnB artists on the playlist, I knew that even if the rest was poor, these tracks were bound to impress. On pressing the play button, I was hit by the purest sounds I'd heard for a long time. Non-stop, powerful, attractive, and at sometimes inventive beats, with incredibly sexy breaks. If you like Drum and Bass, buy this! If you like it after that, Buy "Movement - Perpetual Drum and Bass". Heart warming stuff! Rinse-time!

I would have bought this CD alone for the second of the 2 CD's, tracks 2 and 4 particularly are awesome. I'm not sure "legends" is the right title for this CD, despite the majority of the songs being well known there are a few which seem to have been added just to make up the numbers.

The problem with these old school compilations is they all seem to have the same basic template of tracks (Valley of shadows, supersharpshooter etc). Don't get me wrong, tracks like R-type are this album's saving grace but i wouldnt buy it if you've got all the other 'best old school' albums.
