If you actually like paying for what are little more than sound effects masquerading as tracks, then get this soundtrack. For example: Banister Fight - RZA; Flip Sting; Sword Swings - Luis Bacalov;Axe Throws - Bernard Herrmann. For those wanting to get a true Kill Bill soundtrack, with all the movie music included, you will be disappointed to hear that the following tracks are ABSENT from this soundtrack or are totally unrecogniseable from the movie version: 'Nobody But Me - The Human Beinz' - absent; 'Seven Notes In Black - Vince Tempera' (this is the music playing as Kiddo is about to slash Buck, but is heavily rapped over by RZA or whoever he is); 'Long Day Of Vengeance - Armando Travajoli' - absent; ... At last, quality reissues of all the Bonzos' albums - it's hard to believe that the only one previously issued separately on CD was Gorilla. The Cornology box valiantly collected (nearly) all the previously available material into one place but these reissues are the real deal - superbly remastered and packaged, augmented with bonus tracks that are worth listening to more than twice, and featuring extremely droll sleeve notes by surviving joint chief Bonzo Neil Innes. Doughnut was the second Bonzos album, and the first on which they sank their razor sharp parodic teeth into rock music in a big way - while it is extremely diverse stylistically, the music hall and novelty dance band covers and trad jazz parodies to be found on the ... The three CDs are filled with superb remastered and totally authentic recordings that span the incredible career of Frankie Valli and The four Seasons. The quality is superb, the versions presented here are the originals, in stereo or mono as is appropriate. The DVD is wonderful - classic live performances of the group at its peak. Of especial note are the 1971 TOTP recordings of Let's Hang On and I've Got You Under My Skin, both live, very well recorded and very true to the 1971 stage sound. Frankie's voice is at its best and this has to be heard loud to get the full dramatic impact. Thoroughly recommended.

Whatever Simple Minds will be remembered for it will always be The Stadium Rock years from 1984 to 1989 was there finest years and it gathered them success in America for a brief period, but this album for me was the peak of there stadium rock years, and the peroid when they tried to be The Scottish U2. The opener Up On The catwalk is a brilliant Start to the album opening with Mel Gaynor's thundering Drums it sets the mood of the whole album, the next track is the brilliant Book of Brilliant Things which includes more synthesisers than most Simple Minds tracks and sets the mood for album. Ray Charles at Atlantic made beautiful music and it's all here. The problem is the way it is packaged. It comes in a fake 1950s record player box and contains a good hardback book with session info and complete discography. all well and good if a little extravagant but the problem comes with the CDs. It is presented in sesssion order bit is divided into arbitrary 79 minute CDs. A good example is CD4. It begins with one track from "Soul brothers", the collaboration with Milt Jackson - the rest of Soul Brothers is on CD3. There then follows 5 tracks recorded in February 1958. Next is 5 tracks from "Soul meeting" recorded with Milt Jackson - the other track from that LP is on CD3. After this there are 6 tracks from "Live at Newport" and the other 4 tracks from that ...
