This artist is really great, amazingly off the spotlight most of the time, but, as you will have the possibility to understand once you buy this album, the music is there and the voice too!! Listening to "Gone too soon" with Stevie Wonder and then, immediately after, to "How come how long" is really amazing; this last one is really worth the price of the CD alone! One more thing I appreciated is the ability to transmit in this live version all the energy and emotions of his music. You can listen to it while dining with friends at home, but you can also switch off the light, pump the volume and feel thrown in the middle of the stage in the middle of a live session! Stop thinking about it and buy it!

This Album is truely the greatest Love Songs Album I have ever heard. It includes songs by the legends of love songs like Stevie Wonder (My cherrie amour)and Barry White (Just the way you are) and even modern day greats like the smooth talking ladies favourite, Craig David (7 days). I have never heard such a wide range of artists of such a high standard on one album. Both men and women will absolutely love this unique example of all time gret love songs. Guys this is a great present for the ladies trust me my girlfriend loved it. So just relax and unwind with this truely great album.

I disagree with the previous reviewer, these book sets are marvelous. I have several and keep them with my Vinyl (Yes I still keep Vinyl). If you want a CD Box set, there is an alternative version from Motown, with an identicle track listing. This book set is the same price but includes a lavish hard back book with a wealth of information & history. The music is what counts and the music here is consistently excellent and is an comprehensive history of the artist that is Stevie Wonder - Highly Recommended

What a brillant album; the essential babyface has everything that you'll ever need to chill out and relax. It includes some of his greatest hits, and they are brillant. The sound quality on the CD is exceptional, it really brings his songs alive and makes it sound as if he is right there in the room with you, singing to you. I loved it, and babyface fans should love it too. It's a brillant album; very definitely 'the essential babyface'.

This country is criminally ignorant of Babyface's genius. He is one of the most gifted singer/songwriters in the world, and "The Day" is his best album. Songs are flavoured with acoustic guitar and real instrumentals; rejecting the beaty nonsense of most modern "R&B". "Simple Days" is a classic jaunt back to childhood, reflecting on the the finite luxury of the simple times of our formative years.
