Wow, when I first listened to this record I was totally surprised! We have a latin-pop-show on German music television where I first saw her video "Candela." So when I bought the album I thought that it might be good, but what I heard was just stunning. The singer from Puerto Rico just has a very good voice and every song gives me shivers down my back. There are more slow songs on the album than uptempo-songs, but every one of the ten songs is just great. Nearly every song on the album was written by the songwriter Estefano who also writes songs for Paulina Rubio. What else can I say but wow-buy this one!! You won`t be disappointed!!!!

Yesterday I saw Gabri Salasi in Whittakers. I caught him soiling a 3 pack of mens pjamas; frothing at the mouth mid squit. he did all three at once. It kinda put me off my going the pastie shop, not because i'm queazy, but because i needed to find the privacy of toilets in the market place to quickly knock one out into the Darth Vader mask I had just purchased from Clinton Cards.

I have to admit that I'm new to Strunz and Farah, so I can't compare this album to their others. But this album, 'Americas', is pretty good if you like acoustic instrumental guitar music. Although there isn't much of a heavy metal influence (as there is with similar artists like Rodrigo Y Gabriela), these guys blend a mix of styles together. Most noteable here are the Latin and Middle-Eastern themes (perhaps reflecting the duo's ethnic backgrounds). There are about 4 or 5 well composed, catchy songs on this album... the sort that will get your toes tapping, or your head bobbing along with the music.
