I can't believe some of the other reviews I'm reading for this. No, I don't actually own it, but I do own both Use Your Illusion albums and I can see that the tracklist is simply not sufficient. Dead Horse and The Garden are the two worst songs on the UYI albums, so their inclusion (along with the DREADFUL You Ain't the First) is greatly surprising. Why we need 2 versions of Don't Cry is also beyond me. But the most disappointing thing with this compilation is the list of songs missing. Where are Don't Damn Me, Back Off B*tch, You Could Be Mine (one of GN'Rs best songs) and of course, the epic Coma. "Appetite for Destruction" was the first `metal' album I ever heard, and it changed my life immediately. I actually first heard it while on stage in a school play. It's a strange story, and probably more interesting if I leave it at that. I actually heard it at a time when I didn't think there was any music I liked. As soon as I heard it, I knew that it was what I had been looking for. Moving onto the Use Your Illusion albums, well I don't think there is any record I have heard more times than these. If you are new to the world of Guns N' Roses I urge you to go and pick up Appetite for Destruction and play the hell out of it. This is a good CD if perhaps you just want a mix CD for the car or whatever, but there is less of their groundbreaking debut album on here then I would have liked. Songs like Rocket Queen especially deserves a spot on this CD.
