This is a good choice for first single from The Dangermen Sessions although it isn't the best track on the album by any means but it does have the appeal which should make it a big hit. A ska track that that is catchy chorus and funny lyrics in a black comedy way (you could actually believe that the lyrics were by Lee Thompson). Great to hear a trombone solo in a Madness single rather than sax. Will be one of those classic Madness songs that the greatest hits crowd will be dancing to for years to come.

For all its lovers rock melodies this is an album of passionate songs with messages as strong as his peers - Tosh, Wailer etc. Sugar was badly overlooked as a roots pioneer but the release of this collection; original album plus dubs, is a much needed second chance to check out one of the better seventies reggae albums. Well worth a listen.
