This is a wonderful album, musically. The sound is clear, the choices superb. BUT - and it is a big but - if you are planning to use tracks from this album for your wedding there is a potential for gross confusion because the digital index is for a Maria Callas album. So be warned, and make sure that whoever is in charge of ensuring that the right track is played at the right time has their wits about them.

I really enjoyed this set, most of all because there is such a wide variety of different songs, different artists and for different moods. It is the best love album I own and I would recommend anyone considering it to buy it straight away!

OK, so I thought I'd give this album a go and see what fruit "l'orchestra Cinematique" and "Concert of Sound" had to offer, having never heard their work before. I made a grave error. Anticipating very chordal harmonies and synthesised, but quality William Orbit-like sounds, I was presented with what can only be described as the "clarinet" setting on the Casio 100 Tonebank (no discredit to Casio). "Chillout Classics" should be played in indoor shopping centres during the day, and iffy restaurants at night. If it was classed under a different section, all would be well. There's no one home. You turn the lights out, fill the room with candles, sit back and listen. Every piece on the album seems familiar and all seem to fill the room with a sense of serenity and calm. Whether taking time on your own or with a special someone this album doesn't disappoint. Personally I've never been a true devotee to classical music, but there have always been those familiar favourites whose names escaped me, making it difficult to track them down on CD. Now, all of them are here on one album. A truly fantastic collection of classical masterpieces.
