For any dance music fan this is a must buy item. All of the tracks are remixes of tracks appearing on previous System 7 C.D.s. with mixes by such luminaries as Carl Cox, Marshall Jefferson, Richie Hawtin and Steve Hillage(the main man!). Being a mix C.D. the tracks all merge in to one-another which only enhances the vibes and in all honesty all 13 tracks on this double C.D. are killer cuts. If I was forced to name a standout track it would have to be the Elastic mix of 7:7 Expansion with a brilliant fast paced drum machine and some brilliant guitar work from Steve Hillage. Well produced, crystal clear sound and a long playing time(79:02) + the bonus C.D. with 2 bonus tracks make this a must have C.D.

Another reviewer mentioned the similarity of parts of 777 with parts of Steve Hillage's 'Rainbow Dome Music' album. I do not know for sure if any of that album was lifted into 777, but it is entirely possible as Steve Hillage is the founder member and core writer/producer in System 7., therefore he would only be sampling his own music (if you see what i mean?). I always saw System 7 as a logical progression, with programmed Electronica, the obvious modern genre for Steve's approach. His 70s albums (Motivation Radio and Green etc.), were essentially 'rock' based, and featured a proper band (drums bass etc.), but the trippy use of synths to create wonderfull rolling soundscapes and filtered resonant cascading delay riffs, and his uniqe use of ...
