Nickelback have always been at the forefront of the press and music critics tongue wagging citing them as humourless but when it comes to the music that matters as All The Right Reasons is a uplifting album especially on the good humoured track "Rockstar" with Billy Gibbons add a number of spoken word lyrics and "Photograph" would possibly end up on future power ballad compilations due to its lovely slow building riffs and lyrics sung sweetly by Chad Kroeger who then turns it around for "Animals" and Dimebag Darrell tribute track "Side of a bullet" courtesy of Dime's guitar solo whilst the lyrics condemns the guy in the song for robbing such a respected musician in the world of rock with his finger trigger. If you are looking for the same rush that Kokomo's debut album gave you, you will be disappointed. However, trust me! This album gets better with each play. It shows a smoother and more "USA-influenced" style for the band and deserves better treatment on its own merits rather than as a comparision with its predecessor. Try it, you'll not be disappointed!

If you are looking for the same rush that Kokomo's debut album gave you, you will be disappointed. However, trust me! This album gets better with each play. That's probably the question 99% of UFO fans will ask. The answer is Mick Bolton was one of the better finger-pickers that have ever picked up guitar. Possibly not to the liking of the modern day UFO fraternity, this live material shows where UFO, and many of the other bands that began their careers in the late 60s, had their roots, within the blues/rock genre. I first bought this back in 1978, on vinyl, and I am pleased that it has been released on cd. This would grace any UFO collection.

I once saw an interview where Chad Kroeger said he asked fans what made How You Remind Me work. People said the chorus, the catchy riffs etc. So basically that's what the man cares about which disheartens me. I bought The Long Road and I really like Someday, but on every album they make 3 or 4 singles and the rest appears to be just filler, something to pad it out to called it an album. Hopefully Nickelback realise their sell out status and make music for the right reasons, as the album title misleads.

This is my first foray into Nickelback, on recommendation from my son. The more I listen to this album, the more I like it, and having the DVD was a real bonus - the videos really bring the tracks alive. There isn't a bad track on the album, they are all good, but I probably listen to Photograph and Rockstar the most. Nickelback really know how to work a crowd, and show great appreciation of their fans (unlike some bands). Their music has a real 'feelgood' factor to it, and they sing about things that you can easily relate to. The main thing is - it's FUN. Play it with friends or on your own, but play it LOUD! Definitely recommended, whether you're 18 (like my son) or 50 (like me). This is one of the very few albums that I can play with ... Read More:
