I dont agree with the other reviewer. Yep, this album does sound different to the others. There are no real slow-burners like on previous work. This is an all out loud rock album. It's got some CLASSIC tracks! 'Nowhere To Go But Home' with it's Cure or Hooky (from Joy Division) bass-sounding guitar riff! 'Tonight' with it's Black Rebel Motorcycle Club sound, only better than they could do. This is an album that needs to be played LOUD! Buy it and make your ears bleed.

I bought this record on one of those 'people who bought this record also bought .... ' whims . I bought Cinematic Orchestra's 'Everyday' at the same time and for a short while was blown away byt that to take to much notice of this pressing . A year later and I've seen 'Cinematic' live in Derby (which is a real good night out mid-week) and I'm still playing this album in my car ! It kinda swings from moods of 'take it easy Cadburys caramel' to 'have it!' without seeming disjointed and suffering from 'time fillers' It shows many influences from jazz , hip hop , breakbeat and drum 'n' bass and yet all tracks should suit al tastes and can be revisited many times without sounding tired . Because I had a hard time believing that "Veni Vidi Vicious" could justify its hype. Well, this release proved me wrong. At a tight and concise 28 minutes, this fantastic release bursts with playful, brash energy. It's wholly unoriginal, but they make up for that with the skill they use to play these tracks of crisp, amped-up punk. "Outsmarted" and "Hate to Say I told You So" are explosively great and are solid enough to win over just about any cynic, while "Statecontrol" and "Die All Right!" rock with fury.
