I have a lot of Classic FM compilations but I think this is better than any of those, though it probably won't sell as well because it's not got the Classic FM backing. Several friends who have called by have been hooked by this in the background and bought it themselves. Some lovely music, 58 assorted tracks essentially a mixture of pure classical and modern film scores: Lord of the Rings, Barber, Chopin, Gershwin, Tan Dun, Lloyd Webber, Satie, Debussy and Vivaldi all rub shoulders in companionable celebration of the beauty of music which can touch the emotions. Sure some pieces are almost too well known to Classic FM listeners, as with any compilation, but this mix seems to work. I could listen to these 4 CDs for days on end - in fact I have!

this cd will make you sit back and really listen. the content is of the highest quality in selected choice. beautiful piano pieces in the highest of recorded quality. classics like The Music of the Night (Phantom Of The Opera) - Andrew Lloyd Webber will have you whistling along, while others will bring tears to your eyes. well worth the money, cant wait for the next compilation (though i doubt that they could find many better tracks that this one). :)

If you want the best introduction to cafe del mar music - don't buy this! Instead buy Cafe Del Mar DREAMS volumes 2 & 3. I guarantee they will get you hooked! Volume 3 is nearly all superb tracks including OASIS by GAIA Project and Have a Smoke by DAB. Volume 2 has the stunning Castillos De Area by Deep&Wide and Stay asleep among many others. Jose Padilla may have started it all but Bruno makes much better selections!
