Plenty has been said in the earlier reviews to give you an idea of what Tony de Vit was all about. He was a hard house pioneer, still highly regarded by dj's as one of the best, if not THE best. His music follows a fairly simple formula: fast, banging and must make the listeners hair stand on end. To not know who he is, is to not be a true hardhouse fan. So what if you've never heard of him. Fair enough, you've never heard his music then. If your a fairly regular clubber, chances are you have heard his music, you just don't know it. I was aware of Tony de Vit when i purchased his greatest hits, but had no idea that i would recognise so much of his music. CD1 is a collection of his own tunes, and there isn't a poor one among them. ... Read More:

After listening to this album (took a good six and a half hours) i thought WOW! This album certainly lives up to its name (ESSENTIAL)! There are '60 Euphoric Hard House Anthems' but one of them truly aint worthy to be classed as a 'Hard House Anthem';..Delerium feat Sarah MCLachlen's SILENCE! Although its mixed by DJ Tiesto, it would be better off in the chillout albums. But all the other 59 remaining tunes are really bangin'! And i mean BANGIN'! I suggest all you Hard House fans out there to get this, or forever regretting that you didn't buy it!
