for all you old skool d&b fans this is for you. garage is not my thing so one cd dont get played alot. but hold on to your hats the heavy rollers and the old skool jungle cds are just eye watering with some tunes that send you back to the good old days. the tunes maybe old but are land marks in d&b and jungle. for the money its a top buy!

This is clever and cool. A special edition decade of 31 classics mixed from old skool rave 1991 through the jungle years up to drum & bass 1999 to celebrate Moving Shadow`s 10th anniversary. 31 tracks mixed by Rob Playford. 2nd cd is an interactive cd rom with the entire back catalogue of titles from Moving Shadow. The mix is timeless perfection. A joy to listen to and how things have progressed over the years. Brings back some memories.

There's a number of tunes I remember here from the old days, that's the good. The bad, well, unfortunately these are not the full versions. In order to get 20 tracks onto an audio cd they have (unsurprisingly) had to cut each one down to about 4 minutes or a bit under that. At a guess most should go on for about 6 minutes and these are not "radio edit" type affairs either, they music just suddenly fades out. I'm being slightly generous giving it 3 stars, but that's taking into account the low price. I would have paid treble if these were the full versions.

As I opened the case of this incredible value-for-money compilation, I was not sure what to expect. Having seen the likes of Goldie and Aphrodite, two of my favourite DnB artists on the playlist, I knew that even if the rest was poor, these tracks were bound to impress. On pressing the play button, I was hit by the purest sounds I'd heard for a long time. Non-stop, powerful, attractive, and at sometimes inventive beats, with incredibly sexy breaks. If you like Drum and Bass, buy this! If you like it after that, Buy "Movement - Perpetual Drum and Bass". Heart warming stuff! Rinse-time!

I would have bought this CD alone for the second of the 2 CD's, tracks 2 and 4 particularly are awesome. I'm not sure "legends" is the right title for this CD, despite the majority of the songs being well known there are a few which seem to have been added just to make up the numbers.
