My mate recommended this cd to me. He has similar taste to me for music so I went out and bought it. I loved it the moment I put it on. The live one (cd 3) is the best cd in there because its all club mixes and thats my fave type of music. Elysium and Smalltown Boy are my fave songs on the album so if in doubt about this cd....BUY IT, BUY IT!!!

Last Thursday I had never heard of The Mastersounds, but was lucky enough to chance upon them playing live at a club in Leeds. Needless to say, I eagerly exhanged my £10 with them at the end for a nice signed CD by these incredibly funky foursome! They are true performers, with the crowd almost exploding in a fit of funk delight! The album has certainly been a sound purchase! More laid back than their live performance, its great cafe/bar music or just to groove away to at home with your mates. If you enjoy Breakestra, Peanut Butter Wolf you should love this (though its by no means hip hop), and anyone with any kind of interest in jazz funk should seriously consider this album!
