This CD features Andrew Wainwright's and Duncan Gibbs' transcription of Karl Jenkins' immensely popular work, and all proceeds from the CD will go to Brass Band Aid charity, which through World Vision is helping to build a school in Ethiopia. I would guess that the Amazon reviewer Warwick Thompson is under 25. Anyway, he writes as if he is, judging by his use of the English language ("think Goldfinger", eeeeeeeeh!). He also believes that L'Homme Armee is 16th century. Oh dear. I find the reviews of the actual buyers much more to the point, wheher positive or negative. Pity that the text of the Amazon reviewer is displayed at the top. OK?

I bought this triple CD collection after borrowing the "Requiem" CD from a local library and really enjoying it. Containing as it does not only the Requiem and (very different) the first "Adiemus" volume but also "The Armed Man", I found it an excellent introduction to Karl Jenkins' music. The "Requiem" CD also includes Jenkins' rich "In These Stones Horizons Sing" evocation of Wales - a great bonus. Whilst there are tracks on each CD that I don't really respond to, there is much that I really enjoy and - at the time of writing at least - was able to buy the collection at an astonishingly low bargain price.

I have been picking up pieces of Jenkins' pieces for a while now but i must say that for anyone new to his work or just interested in hearing some really great music then this album hits the spot. A good collection of many highlights. I recommend it as a great general listening piece and thoroughly worth buying just for adiemus alone! Super!
