This is an amazing collection of hand picked performances which will have you raising your eyebrows as you recognise influences from 80 years ago on todays modern sounds. I could wax lyrical about the choice of artists and tracks but prefer to just say BUY IT!!! There is a big HOWEVER, which I have to add and that is a dissappointment in the packaging and information. I can't fault the music so have had to give a 5 star rating but unfortunately, a person with 20/20 vision would have difficulty reading the track list and there is also a loose leaf track list of which the print is also minute. Yes there are other albums and singles that may strike your fancy. But this one is the first to come to mind when mentioning Cream. It is too bad that the samples stop before "Tales Of Brave Ulysses" as each track is unique. Therefor you have to listen to them all to get a more complete picture of this group. Warning this album is addictive I find my self singing, " Sunshine Of Your Love" a little too loud at work and then I hear others completing the words from other cubes

If you like rock and blues, expertly played with soul and passion then you can't go wrong with this album. Far from a one trick pony the full on blues/rock onslaught is lightened with such delicate celtic influenced songs as Roll Away and Stay. On this form Back Door Slam should be destined for greatness.

This could so easily have been a truly complete collection of all the authorised Cream material but instead of giving us all the live tracks they wasted space with ex-demo tracks of marginal importance. The omission of one of the live versions of 'Politician', from 'Goodbye Cream', one of their finest performances, is unforgivable and means that it is obvious that no-one new to Cream should buy this as a short cut to a complete collection. After all it's not even cheap to buy the (almost) 'complete' Cream this way. It's more economical to buy all 6 original albums which are now cheap and easy to get. But there are two other ommissions as well. If they wanted to give everyone a reason to buy this set they should have gone about putting together this ... Read More:
