If you have 'Star Tracks' 1&2, then you owe it to yourself to buy this album. It contains some later Trekkie themes together with a version of 'The Wrath of Khan' without the narrative, which is good. Superb playing and recording. Buy it!

As I opened the case of this incredible value-for-money compilation, I was not sure what to expect. Having seen the likes of Goldie and Aphrodite, two of my favourite DnB artists on the playlist, I knew that even if the rest was poor, these tracks were bound to impress. On pressing the play button, I was hit by the purest sounds I'd heard for a long time. Non-stop, powerful, attractive, and at sometimes inventive beats, with incredibly sexy breaks. If you like Drum and Bass, buy this! If you like it after that, Buy "Movement - Perpetual Drum and Bass". Heart warming stuff! Rinse-time!

I would have bought this CD alone for the second of the 2 CD's, tracks 2 and 4 particularly are awesome. I'm not sure "legends" is the right title for this CD, despite the majority of the songs being well known there are a few which seem to have been added just to make up the numbers.

I shall keep this fairly brief. Whilst I agree with the previous reviewer, that whilst the range is excellent, certain tracks are notable by their absence. However, if you are intending to buy this for the music, rather than to use as an amusing coaster, be warned. The music from Dune, for example, has little in common with the Toto / Eno original, as it is now performed by the City of Prague Symphony Orchestra and the Crouch End Singers. Likewise, the rest are a series of near-misses. So, save your beans, and buy a couple of videos instead so you can enjoy both the film and the original soundtrack!

i bought this album because im am fan of star trek music and because of track 10 on disc one tasha's farewell from star trek the next generation..i havent seen the track on other star trek albums..its clearly that this album is not original.. when i listen to the originals and this one, there is a big diffrence..some tracks is fine, but it could be much better.. theme from ds9 is to long to be orginal.. and star trek the motion picture starts with the main title, and ends with the end title...the track is called star trek the motion picture End titles.. sound effects are not original..
