This device is very simple to use and because it looks effective as an alarm, I think it will deter many casual thieves. In fact, it is very cheaply made and the audible alarm is not really very loud, especially when all doors of the vehicle are shut; also it would also not take much effort to break it off the steering wheel and dispose of. But having said that it is good value, the motion sensor is very sensitive and triggers instantly, and I think the presence of this in the car would put off most car thieves. Supposed to have a range of 50 feet, mine was only 10ft max - in the same room !. Sometimes it detected movement and set the alarm off, sometimes it didn't, & occasionally the alarm went off & couldn't be reset. On the plus side I lost weight walking back & forward to my shed [...] !
