I love this product. Every house on the street but mine owns a cat so my garden is the feline toilet. Every poo that is left by "Adolf I hate my owner cat" means a night of the tester button pushed in tight so every human neighbour has to endure the noise all night. other than that it is crap. Why not do what the Canadians do, and by a trap cage which catches the cat without harm. Take it for a nice 2 hour drive and harmlessly let it loose. How do you like them apples cat owners? you suck

I made an order for this the minute I spotted our uninvited guest poke his nose around the kitchen door while I was sitting in my living room. Ever since I plugged them in, I thankfully have not seen him since. Which is a relief, because I was not looking forward to the drama that would unfold were my other half to spot it (she doesn't even know we've had a mouse, I denied ever having seen one!). My secret, and my short term sanity are now safe, thanks to the timely intervention of The Big Cheese.

Caught the first one in the time it took to boil the kettle ! Another 5 followed over the next week. Also used it at father-in-laws where they had chewed through 3 electric cables in his loft and shredded half a sheet of flooring ! Two caught there. Easy to use, humane and tail friendly. I used bird peanuts. Well worth the money. ( I know it is illegal to release them, but DEFRA recommends you put them in a sack and dispatch them with a blunt instrument). Mine live to fight another day .....

I used a similar product, turns out to be an effective humane trap, got rid of two mice overnight, and without resorting to slaughter. I must say, the number of reviews unjustly blaming this trap for being "cruel" is astounding. News Flash : this trap does NOT kill the mouse. The very purpose of this trap is NOT to kill it. Like every other humane trap on the market, the only thing it does is CAPTURE it. And like every other humane trap on the market, you are supposed to check it regularly, and dispose of the mouse humanely. You can spare the mouse's life if you feel like it. If you were an atrocious sicko, you could flay it. Or, like some many reviewers have pointed out, you could just forget about the trap, and then the mouse will die a slow, ahonizing ... Read More:

It's quite bulky and took a few attempts to set it up as if not done correctly the slightest move sets it off, but overall it is a good live trap. I think it would be better if it could set up not to close so the wild rat can get used to it over a period of days, then when they're not expecting it you can set it up to catch them. It's designed so you cannot get bitten and works well, and needs to be checked daily but I found I could attach a water bottle on the side of it. Great for catching escaped pets as I found out, especally when it's in a huge pet store. The rat was caught first time and was unharmed.

I baited mine with a couple of bits of bread and had our little visitor within 45 minutes. These traps seem to need a hard surface and be pointing in the direction the mouse comes from which is why they suggest putting them back to back. Used properly they seem very effective, I used it a while ago as well and caught one overnight using peanut butter as a bait. Dont be put off by the reviews above but do experiment with wheaty or grain baits (not cheese apparently )

Much too light & flimsy. Caught a mouse but trap wasn't man enough to kill it & it was running around with the trap on it's head ending up with me having to do the business. Most unpleasant ! Absolutely useless.
