Despite some rather negative comments about this cat scarer once we had re-positioned it once or twice we have been able to bid good-bye to the cats crapping in our front garden. I can thoroughly recommend it and we are now considering getting another one for the back garden. Brilliant!

I had a problem with squirrels in my roofspace - they were living under a converted loft floor. Having read the reviews I bought one of these traps and set it outdoors using a Snickers bar as the bait. Half an hour later I caught my first squirrel. They obviously like Snickers as it had eaten the lot. There's no point buying a more expensive version of this product - it works really well. It's well designed too, with a protective plate to stop the squirrel from nipping your fingers when you pick up the cage to transport it. I was able to release the squirrels unharmed in a nearby wood.

This product is fab. Stays warm through the night. I bought one for our new puppy and she seems to like it, am now looking to buy a second for me! I have used it as a hot water bottle in bed a few times and it is still warm in the morning. Very easy to use, has the advantage that it doesn't get overly hot initially, unlike a hot water bottle. Ideal for pet or human use.

Amazingly prompt delivery : easy to assemble. Very pleased with this product from longacres nursery. I would suggest that if sited on a lawn, if a piece of pipe is sunk into the ground to be flush with the ground, this would permit easy removal and replacement of the feeding station to allow mower-access.

A really great product, I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to treat their cat, or just keep them off of the sofa. We've had about three over the years and every cat loves them. However be warned; at parties people sometimes mistake it for a seat, which it usually quite amuzing when they end up on the floor!

I set this up 4days ago it looks very good and the gold finches found the new position of their feeder. But it took the squirrels about half an hour to get to grips with it! It seems to be a squirrel feeding station as they put the birds off, I have plans for something to stop them getting up the pole

No sign that this works at all. We've had it plugged in for a couple of weeks and the mice are not being deterred in the slightest. We have traps, as many gaps blocked up as possible and all food locked up in containers. We installed this because mice were still visiting and leaving their unpleasantries about. Their behaviour hasn't changed at all. The insects in the kitchen haven't reacted either. I wouldn't recommend buying this product. I would have not given it any stars at all - in fact negative stars because it was such a waste of money - if I could. In fact - is it emitting a noise that attracts mice?? like a mating call??? We've got more than them than ever since we bought this....

I originally bought this from B&Q and loaded it with batteries. It was great for a week but then started squarking. I got a replacment from B&Q but this was no better. I spoke directly to the company (STV) and they were very good, they exchanged and sent me a replacement, this was OK but I could hear it - they told me that I should definitely not be able to and have sent me yet another replacment. This time it appears to be OK but it has only been on for an hour, we'll see how it goes. I have a feeling that it becomes audible when the batteries get low - anyone having problems should try loading new batteries. Even though I could hear them they did appear to be effective.
