Although my Shuttle Chef arrived with the plastic on the inner lid broken, there was no structural problems. I heated my stock, skimmed the first foam then added veg brought it to a simmer added the lid (with the broken plastic) and placed in the outer thermos (surprised it doesn't have a locking mechanism or a clip) and let it sit for 12 hours. Perfectly infused beef stock that was still hot. 1) Wish Amazon UK would stock the larger Shuttle Chefs like US does? 2) Should have a lockable lid (with a better quality plastic handle).
