I bought this for my 6 year old daughter to help improve her English and Math skills, and I can't praise this programme enough! My daughter actually looks forward to playing the games and frequently comes up to me saying "Mummy, can I play Jump Ahead Year 2 now please?" with much enthusiasm. I thought it might be just a fad - like with all toys! But she really does enjoy it. I think its because the math games are challenging and she enjoys the excitement of the "theme" of the game, like jumping over crocodiles to get across a river. A great disk, both my kids loved it, I bought this to try and get my little boy to advance with his reading and he loves it. Takes a while to figure out how to get into the different rooms, but both my 4 year old and 6 yr old can work the computer by themselves using this software, it really is easy. A great interactive program.

I bort it for my little girl and it is not worth buying. It keeps on freezing

I bought this for my 8 year old niece - apparently now we have to call it "the game that I love " . She has played with it every day for over an hour - its not easy but that just makes it even more fun ! I am now the "best Aunty in the world " for buying this for her ! She also told me I had to leave a review ! Highly recommended by Haannah (aged 8 ) !

Bought this for my grandchildren and they love it. The sticker Book is a big incentive and keeps them at it. The seven year old was struggling at school and working through the maths and English, with some help, gave him a lot of confidence. The younger two join in, and also do the lower level, and it becomes a joint exercise. All good stuff.

Mummy - This is Rubbish! This is what my daughter said to me when we put this on! I am so glad it was a present and I didn't waste any money on this. My daughter is 2 yrs and this was far too babyish for her even though it is meant for 1.5 - 3 yrs. It is very limited and we finished it in under an hour. The animations are repeated on the different screens, so if you see the Elephant on one screen, he sings the same song in the abc screen, the numbers screen, etc and it is really boring. The font used for the ABC learning is a 'comic' shaped font, so it would be hard for a child to recognise the actual shape of a letter. And a lot of the animations didn't make sense anyway. My Son absolutely loved this programme - and the Big Reading adventure. Once patches were downloaded it worked great.... on our old computer. Now we have a new system with Windows Vista is doesn't work. On the GSP support website the only advice was 'this product doesn't work on Vista'. Slightly disappointing to say the least - you'd have thought this wouldn't have been the case. Unless anyone knows of a workaround they'd like to share, I am afraid I cannot recommend this software.

I brought this software especially for my 4 year old daughter who is struggling with her phonics in school and was very disappointed with the letters game which is NOT sounded out in phonics. This is confusing for children and misleading as it does state it teaches phonics. The rest of the games are OK, but both of my children (3 & 4) got bored of it quickly. It is very reasonably priced, but in my view not worth buying.

The initial loading of the program is frustrating and I certainly didn't expect to be downloading fixes on a new product. The screen does not maximise to the full size of the monitor and this cannot be fixed as mentioned buried in the help text. I would have expected both of these things to be mentioned in the advertisement of the cd rather than being hidden within the cd itself. I would expect better performance from D.K and indeed Amazon. This is the first time that I have used the internet to purchase presents and I will consider more carefully before doing so again. I will be returning this product as unfit for purpose.

I found this software very useful and it kept my son engrossed for a long time, he loves the sticker rewards for each task completed. My only grip is that there are no instructions, although we quickly worked out how what to do once we clicked around a few times.
