Mummy - This is Rubbish! This is what my daughter said to me when we put this on! I am so glad it was a present and I didn't waste any money on this. My daughter is 2 yrs and this was far too babyish for her even though it is meant for 1.5 - 3 yrs. It is very limited and we finished it in under an hour. The animations are repeated on the different screens, so if you see the Elephant on one screen, he sings the same song in the abc screen, the numbers screen, etc and it is really boring. The font used for the ABC learning is a 'comic' shaped font, so it would be hard for a child to recognise the actual shape of a letter. And a lot of the animations didn't make sense anyway. All this after I had to download the patch from the makers website ... Read More:

My 3 year old son is a huge fan of Bob the Builder and he absolutely loves this CD. The games are of varying difficulty and he does need help with some of them but his mouse skills are improving by the day. The games are fun and not too obviously educational. The only problem I have with this CD is getting him off the computer!

This is a fantastic childrens cdrom. The visual quality is tremendous. You can tell that much thought went into the development. The only criticism I could have is that there is not much content, however, this is compensated for by the quality of the features. It has my kid occupied for hours on end - I've even passed a few hours at it too! Definately a recommended purchase.

This is very primitive software. It's something you'd expect from the early 90s - not from 2007. Firstly, even though it gets installed on the hard-drive it will not run entirely from there - you have to put the CD back in each time you want to use it. This is rather annoying because not only do you need to dig out the original CD each time you also have to trust your three year old not to bust the CD drive. This is an almost certainty given the fact that for each BBC/GSP game they will have to open the CD tray and then load and unload a new disk.

The opening video sequence is also poor. It is very low resolution (again à la 1990s) and the sound quality leaves much to be desired.

The game itself is rather average to say the ... Read More:

5.Engie Benjy: Time for Teamwork! from: BBC Multimedia
September 05, 2003
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Software : Engie Benjy: Time for Teamwork!
My four-year old son has been playing the Finding Nemo game on my Mac over the last 6 months - so he's relatively familiar with the keyboard and mouse.

Whilst shopping we saw the Engie Benjy game on display in an Apple Store, and he adored it. It's take a couple of months to manage to buy the software (Apple didn't have it in stock) and an Amazon reseller couldn't deliver it.

We've got the game now, and it's great. The games are interesting (although a "pipeline building" game is too difficult for him), the graphics are vivid, and the soundtrack is interesting (narrated by Ant & Dec).

Our two-year old struggles with the eye-mouse interaction, but at least the software makes sounds in response to her random clicks ... Read More:

More fun and games with B1 & B2. This was the second of the games I have purchsed for my 2 year old daughter and she loves them. Easy to operate (both grandmothers can start up the game and the instructions are easy to operate.

Suggest that the game "It's Party Time" is a better product, although my daughter likes either game.

I have a very active toddler with a very low attention span!!! Once he saw this we had trouble getting him off the computer. The graphics are very colourful and there is plenty of music. Lots to interact with and friendly voices to encourage. I would certainly recommend this to anyone.

Although the software is outdated, I found it very useful for my 14 months old daughter. If you have a touchscreen device, it is very practical and she likes popping balloons by her little finger very much. The program works on windows XP but sometimes crashes.

If you want to introduce PC to your children this software is a good startpoint. Its affordable price makes it worth trying. I use it in small periods everyday and I can say it significantly improved her perception and reaction.

My little one started playing on this at 18 months old. She is now nearly 3 and has the most incredible mouse control and loves playing on this. She is able to understand all the directions given by the characters and can find her own way around all the different parts and games. This is just an amazing, fun and educational introduction into using computers and teaching mouse control. I was recommended it and can also fully recommend it to others!
