If you've been used to using previous versions, i'd say stick to them. Office 07 has a very different layout to its older versions. It can take some getting used to depending on how good you are at using computers. It took me a while to find some of the features i wanted, but i suppose thats because of the new additional features which make it easy to manipulate the text and have more control. If you just want to get things done quickly with no fuss i don't think this would be for you. But i really like it!

Have had no problems at all with word 2008, no crashes no speed problems. Tried using Mac Pages but pages has limited functionality, so use word.

Why pay a rip-off price from Microsoft when there are loads of good free email software programs that are just as good ?

This is a licence for a three computer version - one set of installation files and a licence that can be registered for three computers in the same home. By Student version, your household computer users needs to include a student - a child in school (aged 5 to 18) or an 16+ person studying part or full time (or teaching) in a college/school/university. With a new version, one expects improvements and in this case there are many. The most obvious being the new menu system which takes a bit of getting used to but needs to be learnt as this will be the future. I bought the OEM disc to use on my Intel Mac also. The disc worked perfectly with no problems. I simply registered the product online with none of the problems the previous poster mentioned. I think there may be a problem if you attempt a second installation using a program like Parallels of VM Fusion as you are technically trying to register the product for a second time and this causes alarm bells to ring at Microsoft. But if you simply want to install on Bootcamp, this product is highly recommended.

Absolutely unreliable. As such clearly it could only be produced by Microsoft and they expect you to put up your hard earned money! Avoid at ANY price.

I've had it for 6 months now. I'm now in the process of re-installing it YET AGAIN; this is now the 5th time. Each time I have to re-install it gives me a message stating: AN ERROR HAS PREVENTED OneCare FROM INSTALLING A REQUIRED UPDATE. Why? The Help pages are useless. They give you a long list of things to do: none of which work. Seeing as how my machine is on dial-up for the Internet, it takes about 3 hours to download it again. Being on Tesco internet, it automatically disconects you after 2 hours. Great. So you get a window saying the download failed, and would you like to re-try. You say YES and then it takes you back to square one. If you're lucky, it may have got far enough to carry on from where you were when you were disconnected, but not every time. Don't buy this ... Well, I can't say I wasn't warned. I read the Amazon reviews regarding this product, but wondered if some of it wasn't just a few people suffering from that well known disease Hate-Microsoft-itis. So I wasted my hard-earned money and bought this. Big mistake. My computer (which is state-of-the-art) now takes at least twice as long to start up and Outlook 2007 has crashed at least once a day since it was installed, though it's usually a lot more often. I don't have a problem with the interface, I think it was due for an overhaul and whilst it does take some getting used to, most of it is pretty intuitive. But this software is very unstable. Word has crashed on me twice and Outlook, as mentioned before, is practically unusable. If anyone from Microsoft is reading this, might I recommend that ... Read More:
