One thing about Symantec products is they work, if you just want a good anti-virus scanner that is simple to use and that is simple to keep up to date then this is the answer. The user interface if minimal, allowing you to scan your drives individually or all at once as well as manually running the update program. Other than installing it and letting it run a full system scan every now and then there is nothing to do, the software runs in the background; along with the auto updater.

At first i tried a couple of times to install the norton 360v2.0 but all attempts failed..it was really fustrating to the point that i was keen on returning the software back,but i decided to seek tech support which was a bit long but successful.I highly recommend this software...

I've actually owned a lot of Norton stuff, and my god do they slow down your computer to a snails pace. It gets in everywhere and screws everything up. If you want a decent Internet Security package, check out Kaspersky, you can download it from their site - much much better. Norton is rubbish.

A agree with all the others who posted negative reviews - not only did it slow the computer to a standstill, performing scans constantly, but after un-installing it I found that it was still running a process in the background with I had to remove manually, along with a lot of other files the uninstall had failed to remove. I would also like to complain about the large number of so called reviews that read suspiciously like adverts for anti-virus programs. Anyone who has used this product could not reasonably give it five stars. What proceedures does amazon have to prevent interested parties writing fake reviews? I have used Norton products for ten years and have always thought that they are the best despite a few problems along the way. A year ago I purchased Norton Internet Security 2007 and since then Norton gave me a free download of the 2008 version. This year (as always) it is more expensive to buy a boxed product than simply renew the subscription - CRAZY !!! But every year I buy the new product, so I already have a new boxed Internet Security 2008 to install in a few days time. HOWEVER,I have recently been having a few problems, and every time I scan my computer I find viruses - today there were two Trojan Horses that were zipped in e.mail spam, and a Downloader virus. The issue of likely growing interest in viruses being written for attacks on Macs is an accident waiting to happen - as Mac User magazine (11th April 2008) recently wrote the fact pattern with growing use of Mac computers means that in their estimation 2008 will be the year the Mac hackers finally break through and recent experiments at the CanSecWest security conference demonstrated in an open competition between hackers how easy this is!
