I'd been thinking of getting one of these for an age but everyone's polarised reviews put me off completely. Then a few weeks ago I took the plunge as I needed it for a business venture as well as recording myself playing games. All the dazzles appear to be the same device with different software so it doesn't matter too much which one you get - its more down the cables you buy in addition to your dazzle (they sadly don't tell you that when you buy it that you need more cables) which seems to effect the quality. Depending on what cables you use (generally a double ended RCA cable and 3 Y Splitter AV cables [1 male to 2 female]) depends on how much lag you get. I bought Pinnacle Ultimate 12 because I had used Pinnacle before - in the 1990's - and had some success with it, albeit, then, the edition I was using was fraught with stability problems. Later, I realised most of these were to do with lack of computer power. Recalling this, I opted for a brand new computer with 4 g RAM, high speed Hz processor with 420 g HD, and presumed the newer version would have improved, that this level of power would make the thing work. Oh dear. Ultimate 12 loads with a wobble to begin with - indicating stability problems. Then, once you have done your stuff, it sets about saving files randomly, with suffixes it fails to recognise. have installed this product om my laptop it seems to be fine, there is only to problems i have found so far and that is 1. it takes ages to render so i turned off render in background and it seems fine now.2 magic bullet doas not work it says i need to update graphics card have done this and still it will not work maybe i need a new graphice card?. i have burnt a 15 min disc to see what it was like and it aint bad. anything you have purchased for pinnale 11 will import into 12 easy.now is it worth upgrading to 12 from 11 if your happy with 11 why upgrade ,but having been a fan of pinnalce since stuido 8 , 9 11.yes i did upgrade , will need to upgrade graphics card but might have a new pc built just for pinnalce. if i was to give ... No problems here. When my wife got an iMac I tried using iMovie but soon reverted to Studio 11. Doesn't seem to work for some but I would recommend it 100%.

I have been looking at reviews for psp software,i wanted something easy as i am not a computer whizz kid.I wanted a psp to watch movies and catch up on tv progs at work.Most reviews do put me off,so I decided on this software package as it had no reviews and it did look easy.Amazon again sent it very quick,they are really good.I put the disc in the drive and folowed the intructions,didn't take long at all.When I select the icon on my desktop alittle screen comes up,very simple,it even has a tutorial,I only had a quick look at this as it really is simple.I put a dvd in i have recorded on,select the content i want,where it will go,press start and that is it,so easy even I can use it.I don't know about speed,I saw in other reviews that some software is ... I was slightly underwhelmed by the performance of this piece of kit considering its price. I've tried quite a few cheaper external soundcards already and they mostly perform better than this one. The signal recorded is not particular clean - not terrible but not as good as some cheaper soundcards. I experienced some latency problems - not severe, but again, cheaper soundcards from other manufacturers performed better in this area too. On the positive side, this is a relatively cost effective way to record an instrument (guitar perhaps) and vocals at the same time. To be fair, it does what it says on the tin, just not quite as well as I had hoped.
