I tried this program in Vista Premium and Windows XP sp3; Nothing but problems. In Vista practically all of the containing programs didn't run. And in xp it lead to frequent blue screens of death. In both operating systems there was an improvement when Easy Media Creator 10 was removed. My systems are quite high end with 3gigs of ram and 2gz Athlon 3200+ 64s. Go for Nero if you want result.

This software is fantastic! It has helped me convert video's to iphone whilst allowing me to back up my photo's and music to a stand alone hardrive.

Avoid this software if you have a portable media device you want to watch movies on, not just because it wont convert protected movies but it has difficulty with unprotected ones as well. It is difficult to use, slow and the online tutorials are difficult to follow

I was wary of this purchase when it had no reviews and those of other Roxio DVD convert/copy/create products are consistently appalling (see the Easy Media Creator Suites and Easy CD/DVD Burning packages reviewed on Amazon), but I took a chance. I'll grant one star as it has managed to convert some home videos to a format I can load onto my iPod, although I've read there are various legitimate programmes that can be downloaded for free to do the same. But I have now tried to burn a DVD from some of my home clips--nothing complicated, just various very short simple clips with no fancy features or editing, and every single time, it stalls at 9% of the 'creating DVD' job, no matter what (and renders the DVD unusable despite writing nothing to it ... This software is good, but the makers support is below par. It's not made clear that you need a patch to make it work on Leopard, even though they say it will. Once you register the software you have to wait for them to send you a password to access their website to download the patch. In my case I waited three days for an automated response. In the end I managed to email them and they sent me one. I strongly recommend that you read the users forum comments. I thought I had a bad disc and reported it to Amazon and to their credit they sent another straight out. Got it the next day. Well done Amazon. Roxio could learn a lot from them about customer service.
