I bought this for a relatives children to use, I did give it a quick go before I gave it to them to make sure it works and I found it to be simple to use and well laid out (and if I can use it anyone should be able to!). The atlas section although not as detailed as some is fine for children of their age to see where the various countries and cities of the world are located! Initially you may need to show your children how to use the program but once they have the hang of it they will spend hours infront of it whilst you are safe in the knowledge that they are not looking at anything they shouldnt be! I was hooked on this CD. You have to go through a boat and all the old terms are used. Information is assimilated by osmosis. Very educational. Should appeal to any child who is interested in old boats and the navy.

This is a very good guide for an introduction for World History. It has a lot of read material so you do not have to read for yourself. This is good in itself in the sense that some historial places e.g. South America may have difficult names to pronounce so you do not have to find out how to pronounce them yourself also you may not feel in the mood to read. The navigation I found at first difficult to figure out but after some practice it begin to be easier. I the amount of information was not encyclopaedia but fairly limited .
