As the tittle says, if you want to pass your theory test this is all you need. All the questions that can come up are on these discs What you need to do is complete a couple of mock theory tests and then run through each question of the revision on its own not by doing a test on the sections but by selecting revision and going through each questions. The ones you get wrong try and remember them and redo the section again and you should get 100%. Once you go for the test you will remember them and will pass well. I bought this based on having had the print version as a child and the advertising saying that contained everything that is in the print version. If it is I cannot find it. Anything I have looked up has no more than a few paragraphs of information. Disappointed and would not bother with it much now as the few times I have referred to it, it has given little information and not the information I sought

A excellent book for those of us that aren't too familar with this computer lark.Very easy to read with great see-how guides.Lovely coloured pages that invite you to get involved,yet without bogging you down with too much information.I gave this book 5 stars although it doesn't cover some of 'vista ultimate' functions,but hey if you are man enough to handle the ultimate(like myself)then this book will serve you well,plain and simple.

It seems that with each 'improvement' in the Mavis Beacon series, users are less and less able to customise the product! In this useless version, I found to my horror that I couldn't customise the product to accept a British layout keyboard! I tried to contact Broderbund, the otiose company that puts out this rubbish, but the one thing that their web site's Contact Us page doesn't do, is provide an email address, or telephone number! I bought this product because I had bought an earlier version of Mavis Beacon (version 12) from Broderbund online, but because I'd had to reinstall my operating system, I had apparently lost my right to use the product because the registration key stopped working!!! i bought this software for myself as i am soon to start my lessons. I can honestly say that it is a great programe and very helpful. The video lessons and then being able to try it out yourself, whilst being guided throughout is so encouraging. I would say however, that if you want it to work best, you need a very big RAM, i thought mine was big enough, but if it isn't, you can't always understand what the instructor is saying in the video's and sometimes it picks up on faults that you haven't made. A little bit frustrating but well worth your money.

I used Version 8 on Windows 95 to teach myself to type in the late 90s. Then I thought it was great. It was a big help. This version I expected to be more polished. Perhaps more scientific in it's approach; though really it hasn't changed much. Still good. Purchased for my neice, installation hung on her XP machine during install/registration. Ctrl+Alt+Delete showed registration and installation to behave as two seperate applications. Killed registration and the installation proceeded. The first thing I noticed was that the interface didn't scale well to a widescreen resolution of 1680 x 1050 some jumbled text in the options dialogue. I passed my ECDL in three months using this and an additional manual. Very cheap considering the costs of a tutor lead ECDL course.
