I recently bought this game to cheer myself up and boy did it do the trick. This game pleasantly suprised me with the quality of the graphics and although the game play is fun it lacks an air of difficulty. Republic commando allows you to control a team of 4 commandos during the clone wars and as another suprise doent contain jedis. You follow the back story line which is nice as it seems the game doesnt have to follow a srtict line to please fans, which gives it an air of mystery, which can only help its overall fun factor. All in all a good buy (special at the price i bought it for) that will entertain you for a while.

The graphics are good, the concept is good but the control method on PC is dreadful, for some reason Harry is onscreen anywhere apart from where you want him and he can be facing any direction so when you press the control keys you get unexpected movements, I wish they had made it classic 3rd person control so he is always facing forward, at least that way when you press the forward key he would go forward, add to that the fact that Ron and Hermione are with him 90% of the time and keep getting in the way which makes this game really frustrating. It is good that you can explore Hogwarts as much as you want but it would be better if you could use the map to jump to locations instead of having to run everywhere with the awful control system, you seem to ... I bought this software for my daughter who is very computer literate for her age. She happily worked her way through all of the Jump Ahead Year 1 series from Focus Multimedia Ltd and thoroughly enjoyed them. More importantly, she clearly learned a lot too. Perhaps it was because I was expecting the same level of engagement and explanation from Play and Learn: Science Experiments that I felt a little disappointed. The experiments simply aren't that engaging. Sure, they look good, but they don't actually explain very much. Very disappointing that the CD-rom has no audio component to it.While the content is good just reading text on the screen is really no better than reading it out of a book. Also the description on the cover of the CD-rom is misleading because it states that a sound card is required which would ordinarily suggest that there would be an audio component. Having opened the packet there is obviously no way of returning the item.This applies to the Maths CD-rom of this series as well.Haven't tried the English one yet and very unlikely that we will after our experience with the Maths and Science CD-roms of this series.

This is a perfect example of DSA using its status to sell a product that does not have the content to justify the price. Almost all of this supposedly interactive CD is merely the presenter explaining examples of hazards (information you will probably have read about in various other publications anyway) and showing you what to expect when you get to the test centre (which you will see on the free CD you are sent when you book your theory test). The 'interactive' part consists of only 10 hazard clips - which, bearing in mind that you can only practise with these once for them to be effective, is a measly amount.
