The issue of likely growing interest in viruses being written for attacks on Macs is an accident waiting to happen - as Mac User magazine (11th April 2008) recently wrote the fact pattern with growing use of Mac computers means that in their estimation 2008 will be the year the Mac hackers finally break through and recent experiments at the CanSecWest security conference demonstrated in an open competition between hackers how easy this is! ive tried quite a few security suites over the years,and due to a problem i had (i wont bore you with details)i decided to replace my existing one AVG 2008 it was a toss up between this one and kaspersky,both had good and bad reviews in various places and i chose zone alarm what a clanger it installed fine and all seemed well till i tried to do a scan 2 and a half hours and it was still going on and on and on etc in the end i had to cancel it myself it is soon to be taken off and replaced with kaspersky you can never be sure whatever product you choose but tou should be able to rest fairly easy whilst on your pc so fingers crossed if no joy well trawl through all the reviews again for yet another product

I was wary of this purchase when it had no reviews and those of other Roxio DVD convert/copy/create products are consistently appalling (see the Easy Media Creator Suites and Easy CD/DVD Burning packages reviewed on Amazon), but I took a chance. I'll grant one star as it has managed to convert some home videos to a format I can load onto my iPod, although I've read there are various legitimate programmes that can be downloaded for free to do the same. But I have now tried to burn a DVD from some of my home clips--nothing complicated, just various very short simple clips with no fancy features or editing, and every single time, it stalls at 9% of the 'creating DVD' job, no matter what (and renders the DVD unusable despite writing nothing to ... Having bought this and used it for over 100 days to backup my computer, I then had a problem and had to move from the save function to the restore function. Hours of phone calls to support diagnosing v2isr.exe errors, downloading new versions of the disk, brought no relief. I was then told by symantec, that I required a cd-rom burner and software to move onwards...something you'll note was not on the list of their system requirements, so add £100 to the cost of the software to make it work. After shelling out for a burner, the v2isr.exe error persists, and Symantec have suggestion I purchase (yes you read that right) purchase ghost 14, as that works.... Amazing, avoid Symantec and look elsewhere.

Like the previous reviewer I saw this package on the shelf of a local computer store, and bought it because of its low price and the fact that it included a database program. As the previous reviewer stated it installed easily and didn't require registration/activation - but perhaps this is a problem because Ability Software has not replied to even one of my messages about the product. I wonder whether they think I am not a legal owner/user of the software? Ability Office 4 included a 60+ page booklet to help the user get started. This is absent from the Ability Office Business box. A pity, I think. Despite being interested in the database program I have spent much more time with the word processing (Write) and spreadsheet applications. ... Read More:

Dear Hopeful Buyer, I cannot beginning to express how disappointed I am with the this product. I am not one who would usually write a review, but my disbelief at the poor customer service, pushed me to warn as many as I could. For starters, this product is really overpriced, considering how little it actually does. Even after doing a full PC scan and successfully detecting 2 Trojans and one bit of malware, there was no action taken to remove it. Nor was it quarantined.What then is the point? I might as well have open the window and throw my money outside.
