Easy install and refreshingly efficient at all the familiar cd/dvd burning tasks. Great value. I have removed the bloatware known as Nero from my system with a sigh of relief now I have Burn.Now. Harry

Having been a very heavy user of Office for more years than I care to remember, Office 2007 is a huge backward step (similar to Vista over XP). Microsoft have clearly lost their way, and this is a ploy to get large sums of money for a poorer product. For existing users of Office 2003, stick with it. Do not upgrade, you WILL be disappointed ! For new users, go for the free OpenOffice. For most functions it more than competes with MS Office and very similar to office 2003.

I learned to touch type on Mavis Beacon. Sadly the CD-ROM from Windows 95 is not compatible with Windows XP, so when I upgraded my computer I had to buy it again. Guess what-I've now got a laptop with windows Vista-and it's not compatible either!I will not buy it again! The program really works-I was up to 30wpm in a couple of weeks, and it's easy to do a quick refresher at the PC when you have a few minutes. Watch out though-if you are planning to change systems/computers, the CD will become useless!

I have always had a soft spot for Publisher and still use the 2003 version for my teaching and for producing teaching handouts. I haven't bought the 2007 version but have looked at it and it all seems very similar to what has gone before. For the money, it looks very expensive these days and very poor when compared to products from Serif and the like. Also, remember the latest version of Word makes a good stab at being a half decent DTP application, at least for simple projects. Buying both really is bordering on duplication. I think I would need a lot or persuading to part with £140 for something which is really a tarted up version of 2003. I bought the OEM disc to use on my Intel Mac also. The disc worked perfectly with no problems. I simply registered the product online with none of the problems the previous poster mentioned. I think there may be a problem if you attempt a second installation using a program like Parallels of VM Fusion as you are technically trying to register the product for a second time and this causes alarm bells to ring at Microsoft. But if you simply want to install on Bootcamp, this product is highly recommended.

I got the box a day earlier than estimated and also there was a Bonus CD included ("Adobe Creative Suite 3 Video Workshop") with a lot of useful tutorials ... You will have to send proof of eligibility (you will find the details in the box) to Adobe in order to get a serial number. I got mine 10 days later although it's not supposed to take more than a week according to Adobe's notes... The software works very well so far and the price is very low compared to the non-student edition.

I have just upgraded to Office 2007 but find myself still using 2003 Pro. Why? It's just that good. The layout is by far the best out of all the office products, and the menu driven system allows you to create very professional work with little input. There are even templates and wizards to help you along the way. All the major office programs are here except FrontPage, which most people wouldn't use anyway, unless into web design. Overall, I have given it 5 stars as it is the best value for money as well as being a very complete office package. Recommended!

Loading this "upgrade" removed all the antispam and parental controls set with my previous package. Had to go into Symantec's website to download their "free" add-on pack to remedy that little problem (without access to broadband, as I live in a rural area, this process took over 2 hours). Also, when you run the updates it immediately goes to express mode, and if you want interactive mode so you can choose what new updates to load you have to go through the Windows Start menu rather than the Symantec window!!! All the new graphics were totally unnecessary. Very poor product development.

This course has one major problem. Once a series of lessons is started it MUST be fully completed. There is no facility to stop and save which is extremely frustrating. This means repeating the same work over and over again. If you e-mail the company they will send a patch to allow saving. Otherwise the units are well constructed and the games are fun. My son enjoyed the work and the problem can be resolved.
