As a new business start-up I spent some time researching my options before choosing to purchase this software. It had all the right messaging on the box about how easily I could create a website, the main tagline on the box says it "Everything you need to get the website you want online..... and it's seriously easy to use" - don't you just love the marketing people?? Well the box is where it starts and finishes for me - there are so many things wrong with this product that it's hard to know where to begin. Don't be fooled by the price tag, the software is cheap because it is very basic and it's all done online (something they don't tell you on the box). I run my own part time Web Design company called Urweb. I have always been a Dreamweaver Macromedia (now Adobe) fan due to the ability to build professional looking sites, with very little HTML. However I had many issues with Dreamweaver that I could never get around, so tried a few other programs, netobjects and the likes. However I could never get the results I was after. I decided to give Webplus X2 a chance and after a few hours getting to know my new companion, I must say I am blown away. Yes it does produce some long winded HTML and yes it is difficult to amend your sites in other programs, but why would you want to use anything else. This is great really easy to use and fast. I created a website in about an hour which i am really pleased with. I have tried dream weaver without much success and then bought this for about £20. Buy it its very good.

It's a fantastic product, but to make it work well and for your site to look and feel really good and a little bit individual, you have to know your way around the internet and computers in general. It's not totally user friendly if you are not used to working outside the Microsoft environment, although the whole thing is pretty intuitive to a relatively seasoned pc/mac user. I love it and think for the price, it's a must for a web presence for personal or not-for-profit orgs or those just setting up in biz. My only gripe is with the page shuffle feature - you have to mend broken links manually. (You can also use commercial web design software to make your website and then just upload to MrSite if you are really worried about losing a previous version)

I can't praise this product enough. If you are looking to create state of the art websites with CSS, etc. then Dreamweaver is the software to own. All the hard coding is done for you well you use the design view to add anything you desire. I have a lot to do to my sites yet but I managed to create and publish my very first webpage within 2 days of uploading the software to my computer. It downloaded on Windows Vista Home Premium within 10 minutes with no problems at all. Just a tip for beginners, check out YouTube for Dreamweaver CS3 Tutorials. You will learn all the basics there and it beats any manual or book.
