Like the others I purchased this upgrade as I only needed dreamweaver and I had Studio MX 2004. After three hours trying to get it to install and three phone calls to Adobe I found that I could not use this upgrade path. So I am stuck with a useless bit of software. Having spent a small fortune on their software and received lousy service I will be looking to change if and when it is possible.

Clicking 'install' on the splash screen which comes up after loading the CD leads you to a 'create self-booting diskette' page. You need to read the manual, (which is also on the splash screen), to learn how to use SecureErase. Luckily it's easy and straightforward, (unlike many guides). SecureErase is a breeze to use. You boot it up from the CD or floppy disk and you can choose whether to have a Government erasure, (more secure), or a standard one. Either way it gets rid of all data from your hard drive which you won't be able to recover so remember to backup first. It's good if you want to sell your old PC and don't want traces of your old infomation being passed on as well. I found SecureErase an excellent product.

Don't be put off by the negative comments on this product. From what I've seen here and elsewhere you either love it or hate it. I'm in the former category. If you're a small business or not for profit organisaton wanting a fairly simple but professional looking site, I don't think you'll do better. I have friends using FrontPage who have seen what I produced and were stunned to find that I had spent about a quarter of what they had paid. And I've used it for a total of around 30 hours with no crashes so far.

I bought this software with a view to improving my website and Web Creator 2.0 certainly does has some good features such as the facility for video and some really good graphics effects as well as the excellent ability to view the page at any time during creation. The main drawback though is that you seem to be fixed to the page size of the templates. For example I found it impossible to increase page length for long texts or lists. I think that the software is very suitable for beginners as it gives the opportunity to create impressive looking pages quickly but if you want something more proffessional I think that you may have to look back to Microsoft.
