First of all, I paid money for a demo. Second of all, it's the worst demo I have ever been on. Basically, 3D Gamemaker Lite consists of the user choosing one of GM's pre- approved games out of a selection of four. All of them have to be one level long and have a boss at the end, even if it's a racing game... Users must then choose things such as enemies and bullet types from a list of pathetic ‘comedy’ selections e.g. one of the bosses is called 'Mr. Poo'... Once it has finished making its own game for you to reluctantly pass off as being your own, you find out how depressingly poor the games are. I've used it to create games but it's just modifying a game that has already been created. If new to creating games then this is a great start but notice it's the lite edition meaning it has less features that the full product. The full product is only sold on the 3d gamemaker website and this isn't good enough.

Though a bit pricey (I won't deny) this package is almost complete for anyone starting their own business and wanting to retain control over their website. I used DreamWeaver and Flash to design my website (though I have to admit, with some of the formatting DreamWeaver gets a bit fiddlesome, so I reverted back to faithful html coding). And with Flash, was able to make it even spankier than I thought possible. You don't need to be a computing genius - I knew NOTHING about Flash before using it - and it's pretty self-explanatory (and the User Maual is pretty comprehensive). Like the others I purchased this upgrade as I only needed dreamweaver and I had Studio MX 2004. After three hours trying to get it to install and three phone calls to Adobe I found that I could not use this upgrade path. So I am stuck with a useless bit of software. Having spent a small fortune on their software and received lousy service I will be looking to change if and when it is possible.

Clicking 'install' on the splash screen which comes up after loading the CD leads you to a 'create self-booting diskette' page. You need to read the manual, (which is also on the splash screen), to learn how to use SecureErase. Luckily it's easy and straightforward, (unlike many guides). SecureErase is a breeze to use. You boot it up from the CD or floppy disk and you can choose whether to have a Government erasure, (more secure), or a standard one. Either way it gets rid of all data from your hard drive which you won't be able to recover so remember to backup first. It's good if you want to sell your old PC and don't want traces of your old infomation being passed on as well. I found SecureErase an excellent product.
