I recently purchased IS9 having done some pretty comprehensive research and running of different makes of trial software on a spare laptop. I was originally using Zone alarm but when they updated the software to new version it was a disaster with crashes/slowdowns/poor booting etc and the forum was full of unhappy bunnies. I watched and waited and although the next release was better it was still not good. I started researching. After many trials I settled on Kaspersky Internet Security 9.0. I had used a previous version so had a degree of familiarity. I installed this software after reading numerous good reviews even from PC Pro. I'm running Vista Business. As soon as i had installed it, the trouble started. Internet explorer kept crashing along with Outlook. Totally destabilised my system which before installing this junk software had been faultless. Home users stay away and go with something like AVG. I give it one star because it was easy to install.

It made my computer really slow and i had to reboot it. I havnt a clue why this happend but i wont risk installing it again. 30 quid thrown in the bin. i'd rather have a virus ridden com than have this antivirus running on it!

I have had the same problem as others have mentioned, the wrong code with the cd. I returned it to Amazon and downloaded the software from the acronis web site,. It was £10 more expensive. Not impressed!!.

This is a really handy little program to have installed on your PC, in my opinion. Once you have installed it (which was pretty straightforward) and configured what you want it to do when, it pretty much runs in the background and does all the hard work for you. It does an automatic virus check, checks websites for any harmful content, tunes up your PC (ie. file cleanup, defragment hard drive). It can also be scheduled to back up your data if you have another drive to back it up to (eg. external hard drive) I have found it to be useful in taking the work out of protecting my PC. I have just purchased this, given all the good reviews. However, the installation process stops at a certain point(when the application config. wizard should appear)with no indication of the problem. There are no onscreen prompts and no troubleshooting section in the manual to help diagnose the problem. The customer service is a farce. The email address for technical support is wrong; I couldn't log onto any of the support websites and the automated phone service is 'manned' by a robot. Buyer, be very aware.

Easily one of the best anti virus programs on the market, fast to update, never misses a virus. I have used kaspersky for years and it has always found virus i have been sent before they have been installed, you really can not go wrong at this price please ignore Lazy Cooks review as if you will read it you can see they do not even know how to uninstall a program.

Well like so many, I bought it when it was on offer... Installed and made my fist whole system back up. Lets face it, you never know if its done it right until you have to use it...fortunately it had as I reformatted my harddrive and reinstalled as hoped... thats the good the bad is since then I have not been able to create another wholesystem backup - well not one that I feel confident of... and after 3 or 4 emails to their support - each time it has taken AT LEAST 1 week to reply and then displays a complete lack of understanding of the question if you need to be sure that you have a good backup, shop elsewhere
