Leopard is a valuable upgrade to the MacOS which offers both visible and under-the-bonnet improvements to what was already a strong, stable and exciting operating system. Upgrading is relatively painless, but upgraders should ensure that they have run Disk First Aid before they begin, and, crucially, uninstalled APE application enhancer if this is on the system. Compatibility with earlier applications is generally good, but QuarkXpress 6.5 users will need to consider the benefits carefully. For those running more than one Mac, the Family Pack is extremely good value, at 1.5x the price of a single license for up to five Macs.

The visible improvements to OS X are technical, aesthetic and practical. The inclusion of the Time Machine ... Read More:

Do you have a uni undergraduate in your household. If so, get this : the mother of photo software.

If you are a student why not buy it now. You can use if after you graduate in your work. Many employers these days insist that people have proper licences for software.

I bought 'Dictate' and have had a NIGHTMARE trying to get it to work - to no avail and despite several fruitless conversations with the customer service team. The program only works in itself - and spits out scrambled rubbish in all other programs... a problem that is WELL KNOWN and mentioned various blogs and forums... but a problem that the MacSpeech CS Team allegedly know nothing about! Poor show. I cannot advise anyone to buy this product.

Have just loaded MS Office 2007 pack into my PC (XP system) and am very impressed with the new Word 2007 & Excel 2007 layouts. Unfortunately, I also tried to load the software into my wife's laptop (Vista operating system) but Vista doesn't like it - everytime she clicks on the Word 2007 icon the software starts installing itself all over again. Vista is really pretty awful - where's that nice button on Control Panel which says 'Install New Programs' - seems to have disappeared in Vista.

My sister and I loved this series of games. We would spend a long time on it having fun and pushing our logic that bit further. We recently re-bought it (our original only worked on windows 95 I think) and spent ages re-living it all over again. Yes, perhaps recently we have not been on it that much, as we are now 18 and 19 years old and are at college and uni, but I have to recommend it to everyone. Also, if you want to buy some computer games for your kids but don't want their brains to mush, we loved 'Maths Rescue' and 'Word Rescue' - fantastic for learning how to spell and do basic maths sums. Overall, love it! :)

I used this program before my theory test and it has really helped me pass.
Both the mock tests for the multiple choice part and the hazard perception clips are exactly like the real thing, a lot of effort seems to have been put into making practising feel exactly like taking a real test.

Functions like, in a hazard perception test, seeing exactly when you should have clicked, or being able to print out mock tests, are a great help and make this program really good.

Owners of older PCs be warned however: This program didn't go easy on my PC and used a lot of both RAM and processing power (I have 2GB and 2.4GHz x2).

Apart from that, a really good product - I'd recommend it to anyine taking their driving test.

I am a football and celebrity events photographer and can do anything up to 500 images a game/event. These images need to be sorted, checked, altered and sent out as soon as possible after the game. I have used Lightroom and currently am trying out Lightroom 2 Beta, after I could not get on with the first Aperture due to its slow uploading capabilities. However, Aperture 2 knocks the socks off Lightroom including the new Beta version. The other major factor which influences me to go with Aperture 2 over Lightroom is the tethered camera options. If I tether my camera and use lightroom I need to use both Canon's and Nikon's software to upload in the first instance then download into Lightroom. No such problem in Aperture 2, its tether up, fire away and see the results ... Read More:

To the review about disk space above.... the other content is optional, you don't have to install it all.

Also, if you are trying to run this piece of higly advanced software on a mac with 60gb of space, then you need to think about upgrading.

Logic Pro Studio is better, generally, than all the other music creation/production software out there at the moment.

I have no problem with the content as such (tend to agree with previous reviewers), however, the software looks ancient. You only get it to work if logged in as an Administrator, or the program halts prompting a message "Error opening tune file ...". The tune file referred to cannot be found on the computer either because (it seems) this is internal to the program which is quite hopeless as you cannot do anything with the prompt message even if you're software literate (such as changing the folder/file permission as appropriate, assuming it's access permission problem which appears to be the case). The Publisher indicates Windows XP as being supported, but really NO, that is NOT the case if you cannot run the program as an ordinary User of the computer. Administrative privilege is reserved ... I have used Kaspersky Internet Security V 6.0 for 18 months and have had no problems. Tried to renew my licence but Kaspersky will not renew V 6.0 and you have to upgrade to Internet Security V 7.0.

Being cautious (from a previous similar incident a couple of years ago with another AV provider) I downloaded a trial version of Kaspersky Anti Virus V 7.0 first. The problem is that it now seems to work by totally preventing you from accessing the web or your emails!!! Very effective but not much use and I can do equally as well by simply not logging on.

For example, whilst it will open a website - BBC for instance - if you try to open one of the sub menus - TV- the whole thing hangs. Tried to open Hotmail Live from Messenger and it just keeps on trying to connect. This happens ... Read More:
