I really enjoyed playing Test and Improve Your Memory. I noticed my ability increasing very quickly at the various puzzles, so regular training probably would be beneficial.

If I had to knock the product down one star, it would be because I found the feedback was insufficiently detailed. For example: "People scored between X and X points, and completed the puzzle between X and X seconds". This could mean that they achieved low or high points within the time allowed. It could also mean that they achieved full marks within a very short or very long time. I would have preferred something that enabled you to calculate a bit more accurately where you stood in terms of percentage of the population.

I recently purchased this software to learn French. There are too many features within the programme to outline them here. Suffice to say that if FrenchNow 9.0 were ten times the cost it would still be bargain of the decade. I tuned into a French radio programme the other day and was astonished at how much of the programme I could follow and understand.

I'm convinced that within an hour or so I could converse with a French native and not have to keep apologising for my poor French.

If 54 year old me who looks after his severely disabled mum can do it - so can you: buy it!

I bought this software a couple of weeks ago, and this is the first chance I have had to get on the computer and rave about how good this product is - my daughter has been hogging the computer playing this game!

The software is very 'playable' and the children find it very easy to navigate around the various screens. It is very supportive of their exploration, without being seen as patronising or babyish by them.

The educational element is so cunningly disguised in the games and puzzles that the children are unaware how much they are learning. The games and challenges can be set at differing levels according to ability, so the difficulty can be increased as the children become more familiar with the game, and learn ... Read More:

We were moving from an XP box to a new Vista PC. The instructions were clear and concise. The limitations of the product are also clearly stated - you may need to reactivate some licence keys on the new box, and don't expect device drivers to come over.

Bearing these limitations in mind, I will state that the programme did what is said on the tin for us - user accounts, passwords, personal profiles, programmes, document folders and structures, all came across neatly, including desktop wallpapers! We are reactivating licence keys as necessary, this is not too much trouble, and have installed printers, digicams etc on the new machine.

It took about 4 hours in total including the installation process - about 3h30 to transfer ... Read More:

I've been using Panda Internet Security for 5years now since I first discovered them when I was living in Spain.
Having seen people struggle with other big named brands, I have persuaded family members to change over. They are happy too now.

5 years on I'm very happy with the software, better value with 3 licences, it updates automatically - no need for intervention - just leave it to get on with it...ideal for parents who don't understand PCs!! And it now has an online scanner which is constantly updating as an additional level of protection (included).
The team in the UK also has a technical forum for any glitches. Usually posts are answered promptly with a resolution.
So, all in all, I have no problem recommending Panda ... Read More:

I am really impressed with this software as it is easy to install and use and just gets on with what it should do. It hasn't slowed my MacBook down any, which anti-virus on my PC always did. Other than the occasional auto updates you don't know it is there.

Software : Dazzle DVD Recorder (PC)
I really don't know why this product gets such bad reviews.

I first purchased dazzle about a year ago to transfer some old Hi8 camcorder to dvd. unfortunately my pc was not powerful enough and the video it produced only showed a change of picture every 1 second or so. This was NOT the fault of dazzle but my pc having a 1ghz processor (a 2 gh processor is needed)

Fast forward (pun intended) a year and i have a new Dell Vista desktop PC and so i use the dazzle again. This time i needed to download the vista drivers from the webiste labelled on the box AND then install the software on the disc supplied in the box. Then i just connected up the dazzle to the black and yellow cables supplied with the camcorder and click about 3 buttons ... Read More:
