Like a fool I tried this as an upgrade from version 7 - boy what a mistake. This version is hard to navigate, whereas version 7 was far more 'intuitive' as to where to go to get what you wanted done. Needless to say I reverted back to version 7 to stave off extreme frustration.

Well, I LIKE the fact that you can run it straight from the CD (well OK, you're forced to). Why, exactly, does software have to be 'installed', anyway? That aside, this is an excellent product. I picked it up very cheaply and didn't expect much, having tried various "teach yourself guitar" CDs before all of which were poor, but this one actually does what it says on the box. The rather cheesy "flower power" user interface actually works very well; you watch the tutor play the song as the tablature scrolls past, and can easily jump to a lesson on a particular part of the song. I purchased the singing coach unlimited, you will find it good if you already have a reasonable voice when singing. Or if your voice is alittle pitchy or out of tune, this will help in time. but if you cant sing, singing coach would be your only friend for a long time until you get any better. i think it really annoying when the helper who represent the CD-rom keeps butting in here and there cos she learning to sing to. so you end up hearing her singing lessons and than you have to do yours. which can be very annoying cos it take twice has long. overall it good if your patient with the results depending how bad your voice is. very good to understand and follow, very little music theory. i have had for three months voice is less pitchy, but i use this ... This software is as stable as a third-world economy and causes more crashes than the M25. You will waste days fiddling with the storyboard/transitions/background music only to find that rendering anything longer than a 10 minute cliip is measured in geological time after which your system will will crash/lock- up. As far as writing a DVD is concerned, forget it 'cause it ain't gonna happen.

The online back up does not exist. Any ministry of sound downloads you were expecting with this product do not exist. I judge a music management system by how little work I have to do loading in my library, setting up play lists, and syncing to my other media. I'm sorry to say this software fails in all departments, and the skins look awfull. No Stars Ejay.
