This powerball is actually pretty cool, it does excercise your forearm and definately your hand to some extent although i remain skeptical as to it being able to excercise the bicep and pectoral muscles (as shown in the little minidisc that accompanies this powerball version), this along with some captains of crush grippers will definately help improve hand strength. I originally thought this was another gimmicky fitness thing of which there are so many... but i think i was wrong this time, its definately got its uses. For low-average strength people this powerball should suffice, for strong people they should look into the metal 350hz version. I thought this was a great item and it actually does work, however I only used it twice and one of the spokes broke (not used in windy conditions either). I would have given great feedback, had the item not broken. Also, I would be careful about buying from Amazon as I was a few days out of their 30 day returns policy and was told I could not return it to them, even though it was damaged! I wasn't aware that this was the case with damaged items and they didn't even waiver this a few days over that 30 day policy. I would perhaps try another supplier.
