: Polar FS1 Heart Rate Monitor
If you havent run for some time like me or your wanting to train more effectively then this product is well worth the money (and if its not for you then you will not have wasted alot!).

I used to run at the pace my body could cope with, the down side was that i frequently "blew up" and had to stop to get my breath. Whereas this is not a bad thing i wanted to push myself harder but without stopping. By knowing my heart rate and when i will start to feel the effects of it being too high (you can set limits on the watch) i can prevent (by slowing down my pace) getting too out of breath and having to stop.

This product acts as a watch (you keep your finger on the one button for three seconds to activate the light-otherwise ... Read More:

: Polar FS2 Heart Rate Monitor (Black)
Polar heart rate monitors work by recording the tiny radio signal emitted from a belt that attaches around your chest, a bit like a cupless bra in effect. I bought a Polar device last year; it is excellent but the transmitter battery died and, since the battery is sealed in and irreplaceable, I was left with little choice but to buy a new transmiter strap for £30. Polar, when contacted, were exceptionally rude and arrogant in their reply to my suggestion that the battery should be a £5 stand-alone replacement item. The cost of spares is a rip-off!

Don't buy you'll get stung when the batteries need replacing.

: Polar Heart Rate Monitor - F11F Blue
I wanted something to encourage me to take exercise and get some fresh air. Going to the gym had become dull and membership expensive as my attendance dropped, and it didn't give me any fresh air or sunshine. Walking, cycling or jogging seemed an attractive alternative but I wanted a tool to highlight improvements in my fitness and, being a bit of a gadget addict, would also make taking exercise seem fun!

After conducting research on the internet, it didn't take long to discover and choose the Polar F11 heart rate monitor (HRM) because it was highly recommended in test reports and user comments. I also managed to buy one for £75 (perhaps it had been factory reconditioned but it seemed new and works perfectly). In the ten weeks I've ... Read More:

: Polar Heart Rate Monitor - F4M Black
the F4 comes with easy to use functions such as the ability to give you ur heart rate as a percentage of ur maximum which is good if ur trying to maintain a level if intensity. such as when you want to do a low level workout to burn fat, or if ur wanting to do a cardio workout and push urself harder, then you can see direclty on the face what percentage ur at.

i use it for workouts in the gym because it gives a more accurate calorie expenditure than the gym equiptment. plus many of the cardio machines are polar ready at my gym. so no need to look at my wrist just check out the machine i'm using.
