I bought this for my son and he hasn't stop playing it since. I would recommend this toy as a must have for all boys above the age of 6-66! It gives hours of fun to all ages alike and the only disappointment is with the charging of the helicopter which takes 20 minutes but the charge lasts for only 10 minutes, otherwise a big thumbs up!!!!!!!

Have you ever opened a gift to find it is totally not the sort of gift you liked to receive. You wonder who bought it you and why ? Then you get that feeling of embarrassment. Well, this is how I felt when I saw this item. Firstly, it looks so much like a pen, it really needed to have one built into it, to make it worth its while. The LED flashlight is pretty hopeless, the item looks cheap and plasticy because it is just that ! Most of the Dr. Who tie in stuff I've seen has been pretty well finished, epsecially the Daleks. This item is far from that and if you were considering buying one for a kid, I'd forget it and opt for one of the other sonic screwdrivers on the market.

I got this as a stocking filler for my 7 year old daughter. It ended up being the most played with toy she got on Christmas day! If only I'd known beforehand I needn't have spent a fortune on all the other presents! The wipe clean pad with invisible ink and UV light work well. Only problem is the detachable nibs tend to get detached and left lying around. Batteries were included - that alone probably covered the cost as it was reduced before Chtristmas!

I Bought this as a Christmas present for my neice. I knew she liked Dora so that was a plus already. When she unwrapped it she screamed her head off because she had wanted it for ages but her parents couldn't afford it. Anyway she was 3 years old and was starting school the next year. Now she is 5 and everytime I see her she speaks to me in Spanish. She says 'Ola' and 'Gracias' She can even say thankyou and Your Welcome. I Reccomend this to all the little kids out there that are aged 3 - 7 years old. The other review about the screen being black and white.. well I ont think it matters. You can still see it and the keyboard is fine because the school my neice ad daughter go to they teach the kids Capital and small letters so anyone could understand ... Read More:

Quite a clever little toy! Its fun for a while and will amuse the kids but gets boring within an hour or two. Makes for a good little present for someone who likes silly thing :)

A great idea, and it was huge fun for about 2 weeks. BUT then the tail rotor needed replacing and in the removal and refitiing procedure suddenly it didn't rotate at all. So one helicopter down... The next one lasted about a month longer. I don't think that's value for money. Toys like scaletrix and lego still work after 20 years!

I was not even planning to buy this toy, let alone know about it in the first place... My work Colleague just mentioned about it and then i just watched a couple of youtube's and then the next thing im handing my credit card details to Amazon and the best part if im not buying one but 2 one for me and my colleague... About the Picco Z itself... Well im pretty impressed with its durability because ive crashed it a million times already and except for the tail rotor everything has held up to what they say it will... But saying that i guess the people who make or sell this stuff know that the tail rotor will not survive the rigerous crashes so the spare rotor was a welcome smile... Maybe a stressbuster. Maybe good for a smoker to occupy their hands. You just "pop" the buttons and it feels vaguely like bubble wrap. After a certain number of "pops" you are rewarded with a random noise. Thats all there is to it. Simple and diverting.
