Five stars for the product, no stars at all for BT's customer support. The product is great - I've owned a cheaper baby monitor and it wasn't worth having because of interference. This one has all the features you need and you don't have to listen to buzzing all evening! But... the one I bought was faulty - the mute feature wouldn't turn off (intermittently) so the baby yelled and we heard nothing. BT offer an email support service which they simply ignore and a helpline number which (while free - they've changed it from 0870: good!) isn't answered within any reasonable time. So buy the product, check it works (took us 2 weeks to be sure ours didn't) and be comforted by the fact that Amazon has a great returns process ... Read More:

i got this for 9.99 on sale, and yes its big and plasticky but it works fine. i don't know what people expect to get for this price really.... in my house it does get a bit of buzzy interferance but its so sensitive i can almost always hear baby breathing and you can have it turned down in front of you and watch the lights for action. i would happily get another one for my parents house. don't know how the other person managed to have a faulty charger as i doesn't have a charger, just a mains adaptor. oh, and you do sometimes pick up other monitors/phones so if you are nosey its great, although they can probably hear you talking to your baby like a mentalist too...!

IN A NUTSHELL WHAT A BRILLIANT TOY. AND THE LONG VERSION - I bought this product when it first appeared on the market. It was my eldest girls present,(who's now 5) but my 3 year old son and two year old daughter love it. It has also taken some hammering from their older cousins (6 and 7 year old boys)! All is still intact and we have wonderful games of naughty Stingo getting up to no good and the tots baking and playing. My sister in law and I thought it was a bit amusing that the older boys wanted to play too but we did decide that with all the bits and pieces you can do,(like putting the cakes in the oven and when you pull them out they have risen), there are not many boys toys out there that offer such a lot of simple working parts which stimulate ... We have had an egg for a couple of years now. Our daughters bedroom is subject to extreme temp changes and we needed to be able to see what the temperature was in the dark. The egg seemed to be the perfect solution, and it has been. It has a lovely glow as a night light, and it has always been accurate enough to warn us when we need to open her windows (summer time!) or put extra blankets over her (sometimes her room becomes so cold that we have to put the heating on in the middle of the night!). My daughter is 9 months and has had the giraffe for about a month. She stands up using it no problem and immediately stops crying and turns to it if I start playing with it and she is upset. We had no problems at all and all her cousins (1yr to 4yrs) love playing with it too.

Bought this for my son for christmas. Thought it might be too difficult for him as he wasn't 5 until end Jan. However after only a little while he could easily do the beginners section! He really enjoys the game and concentrates quite hard whilst doing it! Great game would highly recommend!

This is my sons favourite toy - it is brilliant and can be taken everywhere because it doesn't make a noise. It keeps babies entertained for hours. The tank has liquid inside it and is great fun, each fish has a different texture and they are really bright and interesting. Children will spend ages taking the fish out and putting them back. Simple, but it works. I bought it for my son when he was four months and he is still playing with it at 9 months.

I bought this toy for my son when he was born as he is a baby that is always awake so needs lots of stimulation. This has been one of the best buys as he loves the squeaker and the colours meant he could see it when he was a few weeks old. It also rattles and he is now able to get hold of the rings at the bottom to chew. I actually put this toy in the washing machine when it fell out of the car and it was fine - the squeaker still works. A must have for those with active babies.

Great fun. My son is 9 months and loves the bugs. We make towers we play with them individually and he loves banging them together in the car. They are brighly coloured and the legs and wings are tough rubber and my little boy also loves chewing them.
