My 7 year old son bought this with his birthday money, and it has been a great hit. The ease with which he can build, and experiment with, simple circuits - using the snap fastener links - is superb. Some of the activities are still a bit advanced for him, but I am confident that the durability of the set will ensure it is still in play when he is ready for the next stages.

I don't like this paint as it gives very little coverage, even on white paper. Had hoped to do hand prints etc but the yellow is useless and the other two colours not much better. Will go back to old fashioned watercolours I think. Would not recommend this paint to anyone.

I thought this was a gerat product, particularly for travel or for a situation where I needed my daughter to be able to entertain herself. personally I felt it was best aimed at a 2-3 year old; by 4 my daughter had very little interest in this.

This is a good educational toy with easy to follow instructions for setting up circuits. The connections are robust as they are based on magnets - easy for a child to construct and pull apart. My only quibble is the scientific explanations which are too difficult for a 7-8 year old. It needs a simple description/glossary for each component with uses within a circuit followed by the more complicated description. Relies therefore on parental help - pretty non-existent in my household! One engineer's symbol (light) is inconsistent.

AWFUL STUFF!!! My little boy turned blue he looked like a smurf!! It was all over his hands and up his arms and bless him all over his mouth! You know what kids are like when they get painting, well off we trotted to the bathroom and would it come out....NO!! So he spent the next two days with blue hands and arms, luckily it's winter and the paint did come off his mouth. I complained to Crayola and this was the answer: In some cases it may take SEVERAL WASHES before the staining is removed. The removal may be aided by the use of an oily substance such as Baby Oil..... Where on the packaging does it say you should buy Baby oil??
