I read the reviews on this camera before buying it and decided that durability and ease of use were more important than picture quality - not least because it was to be a present for my 4yr old, but his 2yr old little brother was bound to use it, so it had to be tough enough to cope with a toddler. We opened and experimented with it before giving it to our son, so we knew how to get decent images (Hold it still, make sure there's plenty of light - natural if possible - and don't get too close), and could coach him. My son is utterly delighted with it. Very Disappointing, it's very flimsy and not well made the crystal is very large and chunky the overall design is awful. My Son however loves it and hasnt taken it off since he had it.

This is my sons favourite toy - it is brilliant and can be taken everywhere because it doesn't make a noise. It keeps babies entertained for hours. The tank has liquid inside it and is great fun, each fish has a different texture and they are really bright and interesting. Children will spend ages taking the fish out and putting them back. Simple, but it works. I bought it for my son when he was four months and he is still playing with it at 9 months.

My daughter is 9 months and has had the giraffe for about a month. She stands up using it no problem and immediately stops crying and turns to it if I start playing with it and she is upset. We had no problems at all and all her cousins (1yr to 4yrs) love playing with it too.

i got this for 9.99 on sale, and yes its big and plasticky but it works fine. i don't know what people expect to get for this price really.... in my house it does get a bit of buzzy interferance but its so sensitive i can almost always hear baby breathing and you can have it turned down in front of you and watch the lights for action. i would happily get another one for my parents house. don't know how the other person managed to have a faulty charger as i doesn't have a charger, just a mains adaptor. oh, and you do sometimes pick up other monitors/phones so if you are nosey its great, although they can probably hear you talking to your baby like a mentalist too...!

I bought this for my 2 year old nephew for Christmas and he is a massive fan of Thomas as well as bubbles (which kid isn't!?). This toy doesn't move along very well on carpet and I read in another review that on wooden flooring it can get slippery so they could both be a problem perhaps, there is a little switch to stop it from moving around which is good. I also wish there was a switch to turn the music off because it can get annoying after a while. However my major concern is that after a week and a half the toy is already broken. The minimum age for this toy is 18 months and children of that age tend to play with their toys abit roughly - perhaps this could have been taken into consideration being such a delicate toy. My 6 week old baby boy has a thing for gazing at lights or the sun shinning in through the windows whenever he was awake and it would stop him crying too. So i decided to buy one of these to see if it helped settle him at sleep times. My god!! first time we put him down with it he was mesmerised and we didn't hear a peep from him. Works a treat strongly recommend it.

Bought this for my son for christmas. Thought it might be too difficult for him as he wasn't 5 until end Jan. However after only a little while he could easily do the beginners section! He really enjoys the game and concentrates quite hard whilst doing it! Great game would highly recommend!

If it wasn't for the fact my little girl loves the teletubby characters that come with this toy, I would have sent this back within 5 minutes of it being in the bath. It sinks almost immediately. This is unsurprising as there are two slit holes either side of the base which just let the water flood in. Crazy! We also bought another bath toy at the same time which has no holes and of course doesn't sink! What a surprise! Now this island is just in the way and annoys me everytime I see it!!
