I thought this looked great but my baby gets bored after just a few minutes. He hasn't grasped that he needs to bounce up and down so the toys on it aren't stimulating enough to keep him amused. It was also really tough to put together and takes up a lot of space as it doesn't fold up much.

I got this for my 7 month old daughter to teach her about "putting things in and taking things out". It took her a while to get it, but she always loved the individual toys, and chewing on the "bowl". These days one or other of the little fishies is always in her hands - small and very portable, with lots of different experiences in one reasonably priced toy. Would buy as a present for every baby I encounter!

Okay thats a harsh description of my son but its true. I bought this for my eight week old son for two reasons - he needs constant stimulation and he is quite freaky in that he has been holding his head up from birth and gets very frustrated at the majority of toys aimed at his age range that expect him to lie down - which he doesn't like doing.

As long as your baby can support his head then this is fantastic. I did have to hold my breath when I pressed add to basket because of the price but I can see this being used for a long time to go. He very quickly caught on that if he wiggled his legs up and down then the noise came on. He then figured out that if he wiggled his legs and waited until the elephant noise and wiggled again ... Bought this for my son for christmas. Thought it might be too difficult for him as he wasn't 5 until end Jan. However after only a little while he could easily do the beginners section! He really enjoys the game and concentrates quite hard whilst doing it! Great game would highly recommend!

It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep. But as the other reviewers have said, this was far too loud and the slightest noise reactivated it - it woke the baby up and us in the next room! Aside from this the projected image is unclear (had no idea what it was meant to be) Looking at the box gives you the false impression that all sorts of wonderful images are projected round the room...

Do yourselves a favour and buy the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow, we've been using it 6 months now and it still brings a smile to our babies face when we switch it on for bedtime.

I don't understand how Tomy got it so wrong with ... Read More:

This was invaluable for my daughter!! I've read mixed reviews but my daughter loved this nest as did I. She was an early sitter and has very strong legs and I wonder if its from all the leg stretching & kicking of the ring that helped her. We had 2 - the gym one did fall apart lots (they need to develop the frame somewhat as parts didn't stay together well) so just used both as rings rather than gym. Great safe place to play, rest & kick. Used if half inflated to keep her head off hard floor when she was wee & once she was stronger & was beginning to sit I inflated it fully. She loved to kick & stretch her legs against the ring. It's big but very light so really easy to put in boot/backseat of car when visiting. Sadly she ... Read More:

Pros:
+Locks signal quickly
+Thermometer is useful and reasonbly accurate
+Digital so no interference (our Analog unit was abysmal)
+Good support from Tomy
+Useful to be able to communicate with Mum when she's feeding the sprog & I'm cooking dinner.
+Good sound.
Cons
-The style looks cute and chubby in the shop. But the ergonomics are rubbish. The buttons are way too easy to press. (Including the on button). The belt clip is useless.
-Replacement battery is 3 NiMH AAA cells in a custom pack&plug for an extortionate £13

30.Ben 10 Sports Bottle from: Spearmark
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Toys : Ben 10 Sports Bottle
I was impressed with the shape of this sports bottle, easy to grip with finger indentation marks but felt the quality of the plastic was a little thin. The most disappointing aspect however is the "stick-on" Ben 10 picture on the front of the bottle. Obviously the bottle needs washing and it remains to be seen just how long it will stay secure. Even with careful washing and the usual drips etc etc.it won't be long before its just a black and green drinks bottle. Shame really,as the design is overall quite good.
