I bought this product after visiting a friend who had one. I think it is fabulous! Firstly, it helped my baby sit up because of the shape and size (it fits neatly between her feet and she was able to lean on it when she needed to). Secondly, even though she doesn't pull on the handles herself yet, she loves it when I do to hear the music and see it light up. The fact that baby can learn primary and secondary colours in a variety of languages is wonderful. I am teaching her how to pull the handles and I repeat the colours when they are said to encourage language development. (The kaleidscope is the light and it changes colours depending on which handle or combination of handles is pressed.) The range of music is lovely too.

I recently purchased the Galt playnest with gym and am extremely disappointed. I love the nest as it provides a soft comfortable support for my daughter, however the plastic pipes which form the framework for the gym are too rigid to create an arc and keep popping out which makes the gym collapse. My daughter (12 weeks) isn't even old enough to reach the toys so it's not as if it is recieving ANY pressure - it still collapses. I wish I'd read all the reviews before I bought and am shocked that Galt haven't rectified the problem given that clearly so many people have found the same issue. It's almost as if they designed it but never actually tried to put it together themselves.

Having seen the poor review for this gate, i was spurred into action. I bought 2 Lindam gates, an easy fit plus and an extending metal. My friends advised me never to put a pressure gate at the top of the stairs. So i got an extening one. It was well packaged and simple to fit. It required a few screws to fit but the job was pretty simple. The main deciding factor was that the nursery my daughter goes to uses these gates through the whole building, and have never had any issues. I should imagine this would be the harshest environment for any gate.

I don't usually enthuse about plastic toys with electronic voices, but I'm prepared to make an exception for this one. We bought it for our daughter for her 1st birthday, and it has been in constant use since. All of the activities are age appropriate and; as a result, actually constructively occupy your child. It is durable, versatile, portable and will appeal to all ages. Even Daddies will fit through the door (and if they pretend to get stuck...well, this just adds to the fun!) The voices do speak British English and aren't as annoying as many. Other features such as the creaking, shutting door are really quite endearing. It was quite an expense for one present, especially as you never how these things are going to be received, but ... Read More:

This is a brilliant toy/teether for a young baby. It is light enough for them to grasp, hold, and keep on holding so they can chomp on it till their hearts content... so many toys/teethers aimed at this age group are just to clumsy/big/heavy.
