Lego continue to celebrate Star Wars' 30th Anniversary with their largest kit to date this year with the excellent Trade Federation M.T.T. (Mobile Troop Transport). Larger and packed with more detailing than the previous 7155 kit release from 2000, this model is an excellent reproduction of its on-screen counterpart at a large 42cm in length, 20 cm high and 15 cm wide. The MTT is packed with features. There are two large opening hatches on each side. The rear ones allow access to the vehicle bay and the forward ones allow access to the droids and weapons storage racks. Lego continue to celebrate Star Wars' 30th Anniversary with their first wave of new kits from the Saga with this great model of General Grievous' starfighter. For collectors, this is the first chance to get a General Grievous figure since the General Grievous Chase set from 2005's Revenge Of The Sith line which sold out in record time! The ship is great, with lots of small pieces on the hull to give some detailing. The front section slides forward to allow access to the cockpit and the rear stabiliser folds up and down for flight or landing. These were also seen in Attack Of The Clones but this kit has been updated from the original #7163 Republic Gunship from 2002 with better construction, nicer detailing, more features and a more accurate colour scheme. This is a great version of the Gunship and it comes loaded with features. Each cockpit canopy hinges open. The two front cannons rotate a full 360 degrees and across as well. There are doors to each side of the compartment below the cockpit which hinge up and contain a Clone Skimmer vehicle inside. My son enjoyed patiently building this model over 4 days at Christmas but found that every time he wanted to play with the model it fell apart as its base is not strong enough to support the model and the engines stick out below the base so they fall off every time it is put down. Finally after months of frustration we contacted Lego who supplied some extra bricks to try and stabilise the base (a known problem obviously) but that didn't work so we returned it. A great model for adults but simply not suitable for playing with - don't waste the money for kids.
